  • Wow *claps* well done I am impressed

  • fml how the hell did you do that? :P haha i would say i would try this but i would definitely faceplant haha :P well done :D

  • Wicked balance, strength, and focus there my friend.....was really intense how you jumped and then mounted the box with one leg.....very cool

  • Whats the benefit to doing this on a high platform? It seems necessary if you were going lower than ground level, so in turn you needed to go higher, but you arent going lower than the platform you're on

  • @weepaul666 explosive, then balance. In a way you are right simply doing a single leg squat would stimulate greater force if you were interested in hypertrophy. This has a more athletic application.

  • With so many guys trying to outdo each other on youtube, I suppose it was only a matter of time before somebody brought out the tape measure!

  • @BlockedNasalPassages Actually if you check the date mine is a little old. Truth is there are plenty more impressive since this got posted. I just used the tape so that there was a mark of reference.

  • WHAT IS THIS SONG!!?? so bad assssss

  • omg amazing

  • w/ that leg strength can u dunk?

  • @liflyguy strong yes, but not strong enough to dunk

  • @jasoncscs god, with those insane workouts done you better be dunking now, four minths later :P...you should focus better on simpler heavies workouts to dunk and then do these to polish your leg w/o!! yet it's nice!

  • Loveit. That's great balance, stable core, that T-top was excellent, that shits tough.

  • @UnseenChaos Thanks!

  • Pretty basic, don't know if it's worth a video

  • I thought he was gonna keep doing jumping pistol squats up that 30".....then I was disapointed.

  • @ericcman22302 what's up bro? Welcome to YouTube :) Truth is I did like 20 of them when was shooting because I kept screwing up. SO I did do a bunch in a row but didn't post them because one I was Tired! and two I thought it would be boring showing all the screw ups. Looking forward to seeing some of your vids!

  • All form, little weight = not that effective in my opinion.

  • @MapleLeafMuscle777 baaaaaahaaaahaaaaaaa!

  • @MapleLeafMuscle777 Umm... All form little weight is not that effective... Talk to anyone who knows anything and the form matters more that the weight. Example: That runner has great form but weak legs, another has strong legs and terrible form. Which is easier, teaching form, or gaining strength?

  • your version reminds me of "the karate kid" :P

  • strong!!!!

  • j/w what is ur verticle jump height?

  • @tran61021 I wish I knew! It can't be that high. Plus my knee went bad last week and I am rehabbing it now (no big deal but not yet 100%)

  • dude I would love to know your vertical Dayyum !!

  • Sweeet!

  • weird.

  • karate master?

  • That's one messed up exercise bro....pretty creative. I'll have to try that out....

  • holy s__, u should be on circus

  • I just tried this yesterday and now I'm eating through a straw..thanks.

  • rofl

  • @slideawae What do you mean by that?

  • @blackout2240 means I fell down and broke my jaw lol

  • @slideawae awwww shit dude! lol fuckin a that sucks. i thought you meant you were so sore that you couldnt move and had to eat through a straw. which probably was also the case for you haha

  • Amazing!!!! What's your vertical?

  • fucking savage man...thats was crazy...amazing (Y0 keep busting your ass and training hard

  • thanks man!

  • wow impressive, i just started doing 1 leg squats, hopefully increase my vertical jump.

  • great!

  • Actually holding 10 lbs dumbells in your hands makes the pistol squat easier because your counterbalancing some of the resistance. The step to mastering the pistol is evenly balancing yourself over your leg by shifting your weight between your butt and your hands. With weight in your hands, it makes it easier than having no weight in your hand.

  • very true

  • Very nice skill, but not really a good exercise. Better get some more weight for your squats. That will bring you forward in strength.

  • Ah hahaha ahaha hhah haha ha ha!

  • A very impressive feat. Period. You looked like you were soaring. Funny, though, how whenever someone on You Tube does something exceptional, people magically appear to tell you how you really did not do the exercise (or whatever) right or intensely enough. Funny. Great acheivement-and an inspiration, too.

  • Wow your balance is very good.

  • quality all the way! The landing was perfect!

  • wtb extension on the pistol squat x1 pst.

  • could you elaborate please?

  • The video rocks, the soundtrack rocks even more.

  • your thinking of steve cotter who does kb training. The video your looking for is the russian kettlebell rkc(near the end for the jumping one legged squats).

Nice one legged squat btw, whoever gave this less than a 5 is an idiot!!!!

  • I thought since you measured the height of that stool you were going to pistol jump onto it. No, you just did pistol squats on top. meh.

I can't find the vid now, but there's one where this guy jumps onto a fucking table with one foot all pistol squat style.

  • Meh?! I will wait for your video.

  • i was hoping that the start would be on one leg too.. still cool though

  • you're about on par with me...you need to see the guy that holds his SL squat with a hamstring stretch

  • Superb!My congratulations!

  • Awesome man!

  • is it really that hard, i mean to say you make it look easy.

  • The hard part is the single leg squat. Once you get that one you can do all the other stuff, just practice.

  • That is Amazing

He must be doing that fore years !

  • is it a plane? is it a bird? no.. it's SUPERMAN

  • thats really good!

  • That's some awesome stability you're demonstrating there! As far as single leg strength goes; you should check out Steve Cotter (one of the more reknowned kettlebell instructors). At 165-170 lbs. bodyweight, I've seen him single leg squat a pair of 88's (176 lbs.) racked at the shoulder for 10 reps per leg!! He also can drop into a single leg squat and then jump onto a conference table (landing on the same leg), then back off the table into a single leg squat and back up again, 4 or 5 times!

  • I know Steve, in fact I interviewed him on my site strengthnation. He is definitely the King of the single leg.

  • That was awesome! Good to see a CSCS practicing what he preaches, most are all blow and no show, you rock!

  • Yeah I have run into my fair share of CSCS who are what I call "coaches" do as I say not as I do types. Thanks for the props!

  • whoa it took you years it took me a few weeks

  • Sweet! Post your video for us to see!

  • Holy crap dude you are one of the sickest men alive, no kidding. How long did it take you before you relized that you could do that, cause thats almost impossible!!!!!!!

  • No not impossible, just practice. Many Years of practice.

  • wow! that was awesome dude, nice balance!

  • oh wow...thats not natural

  • That was...awesome!

  • Dude, you made that look simple. That was SICK

  • Dude, u are up there with Steve Cotter's jumping pistols. Both of you are unreal.

  • Woah, Steve Cotter is quite the legend, so I'm glad to be named with him! Thanks!

  • You're my idol lol. That was sick!

  • How many takes did you have to do to get it that perfect? You are the man! My hat is off to you dude!

  • Thanks yo. That was the first take. I tried the other foot and it tok me 3 tries for that one. In practice I had it no problem. camera-shy I guess.

  • What!?!

  • Word.
