Wow. His story was really inspiring. It was almost surreal, like I almost couldn't believe the fact that this was true. The constant ups and downs were urksom to say the least, but I can't even imagine dealing with them personally. I'll admit the only Jay I knew before this was the annoying little stoner kid that cracked me up in Mallrats and Dogma. Knowing his story makes me see him in a whole different light.
Thank you for uploading this. I went back and read the "Me & My Shadow" entries since it's been a while since I've read them and really wanted to see this since the link of Kev's blog is dead. I almost started to tear up at the end. I have a sister who battled with heroin & prescription pill addiction and she's been clean for a few years now. The whole story hits very close to home and I thank Kevin Smith for sharing a difficult story to tell about someone he loves and cares about.
I am Kevins biggest fan .... But I am his Biggest fan of his relationship with Mewes. Thier friendship is amazing and I have such respect for him. Mewes is working soo hard on his life and Kevin is right along his side. Props to both of them they have a friendship people envy and dream of. And right off the top any Negative people who will make a nasty remark ~~~ Go eat a dick~ These guys dont desearve your asshole remarks!
