perfect interpretation, one of the sonatas of Beethoven I love, perfect technique, performed with ease, despite the upright piano, the sound is wonderful, because the pianist is really good too
An excellent performing of a truly fantastic piece of music. You play with such attention to both detail and large phrases. Really good musicianship. You peak at the end, from 7:50 and onwards towards the coda. So so good. Thanks!
great playing and thoughts on this piece... and yes, what a work... does that art of the piano get better than op.109, 110 and 111?.... they are the most spiritual creations.
I really love the calm and hopeful ending of this movement. Hope never dies even anger, disappointment, confusion and hesitation in life have tried to killed it. What an inspirational piece! Thank you for playing it with your soul.
Paul, that was brilliant! Such a difficult and complex work, and you make it look so easy--the mark of a great pianist. This was a real treat to watch. And we should also thank Khwan for the wonderful dual-camera recording. The sound is crystal clear in all your videos.
Wonderfully played, your interpretation moved me to tears. All the despair and yet the resignation of the ailing Beethoven shows in your playing. It's not to be taken for granted!
paul, truly how many people on earth have ever been able to play such music at this level...?maybe about the same number who have run the mile in under 4 minutes..
there is such a devotion to the music here in the playing so far beyond the required virtuosity...this is a celebration of our most compelling composer...
somehow i realize now that the highest form of intelligence is inseparable from emotion...
It's so amazing... Beethoven composed this when he was DEAF...
