  • Looks like you've made quite the investment there. Especially with that cab on it. If it's anything like most Deere equipment it should last a long time as long as you take care of it. I do like how it's set up. Got any videos of it doing work?

  • Did Amy 1 notice that big ass truck

  • Is it just me or did Amy

  • This dude kind of sounds like the one dude who says *uhm* 50 times when he says 5 words in a sentence from Family Guy.

  • @WirchProductions I am that guy lol

  • God, This would be my pride and joy :P My mom said if my dad got a raise, that she would be me one just like this ;D

  • I've got a dislike for it. Ground clearance.

  • @AnAbortiveRomance What do you expect? it's not a car.

  • @WirchProductions Maybe I'm not the person to ask. I really don't see the purpose of these types of vehicles. As for outdoor use, considering how much they cost, I'd rather have an old CJ-5. As ranch/farm equipment maybe, but in that situation I'd rather have an old ford tractor.

  • ok thanks, guess i will just have to snoop around and see if i can find tracks for it.

  • @RaleighSenior It came with the seat belts!

  • Can you put tracks on it also ?? Just curious

  • @archuka1 Not sure.. I have not seen any track kits but they probably are available somewhere!

  • All u do is drive in circles I wanna see it in action plz

  • good video.cool machine.you and your family seem to be very nice people.

  • Its pretty nice. My family has the 2010 Traditional 4x2 Gator. John Deere is the best stuff ever. I was born into a farming family and the gator is so helpful to use around the farm!!

  • It's pretty nice. my family has the 2010 Traditional 4x2

  • Thanks for sharing your Gator. It is AWESOME!!! My favorite part is the steel job box for all your gear!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I prefer my Kawasaki 3010 diesel. More power more traction, better suited for work. All though I do like the accessories on your gator.

  • i think having the pair of tires that do not spin are useless and a waste of muney...i believe the 4x4 is a better by...thats just me thought

  • I am thinking of getting a used one. That work light would be a must so I could find my beer.

  • dude how much did the cost?????

    please reply

  • That Is bloody Awsome

    How fast dose it go?

  • Wwwwaaaayyyy to many tags about nothing related

  • That is a very nice machine. Very nice video too. John Deere has always been great.

  • no one uses myspace anymore lol

  • how much did that machine cost cause im lookin to buy one

  • i like the cab and i like your summer gator

  • Ian,

Where i currently work we have two 6x4 gators. Very nice. It has a crock top on it, for looks, and to keep the rain off on those bad days. It is a nice rig to have

  • My uncle has a police light bar on his.

  • do it have a place for a car charger

  • I am etting one the new Gator XUV 825d

  • Thanks Much!!! Glad you liked it and more glad you found it helpful!!!!!

  • Awesome video, Ian. Its videos like these that enable people to gather information on tools like the gator so they can make an informed purchasing decision...besides, its just fun to watch! Please keep up the good work!

  • cool

  • how much did it cost

  • i got one no different but its an hpx turbo diesel with 5 speed atv tranny and i had to make it a flat bed cuz i had to extend it for the modds i pull 6000lbs with mine most the time

  • wow defrost, my microwave has that

  • They work real well for trail building work. A little wider, but you just push your way threw.

  • Hi Lan I like a lot your video (Stephan from canada) i am a maniac to of the getor i love everyting on it ,i got snow plow ,car horne, inside lighting, to,economic, the best valu to sale,exc..here my 4x4 gator HPX good job man ,

  • cool stuff I was realy liking it until you drove it I take a shit faster than that

  • I like the Kubota 1100 cab for it has ac

  • Hey if you have a 6x4 does that mean that it's 4 wheel drive or 6 wheel drive

  • Great VID thanks for posting.

I got a 4x2 which is different less fancy than this one but I really love it!!!!

  • i have an 04 polaris ranger 6x6 and i must say it is the best thing ever. I take it on the backroads of my 2,000 acre farm Its not a diesel but it acts like it. I use it for hauling hay, towing trailers, and any other thing that needs to be done. Just wanted to say its a great machine and if anyone is looking for a vehicle like that i would recomend the polaris ranger 6x6 or the polaris ranger diesel. And i was looking for a gator 4x2 for my house.

  • What are the uses for Gators? Snow, transporting stuff, pulling by the looks of it, riding having fun, what else?

  • That thing looks very nice, do they make a set of tracks you can buy to put on the back wheels during winter? And how fast does it go?

  • your video is well done. I just don't understand those vehicles. Seems like a ton of money w/o much capability compared to a tractor or a beater 4x4 or the like.

  • @kenfo0 It's just for some fun, but when we really need to get something done we have a 4720 John Deere loader 4X4.

  • @kenfo0 We do a TON of work on my Uncles ranch with his 2x4 Gator. We carry full sized hay bales, feed, pull trees, etc. Also we launch boats and pull out 4 wheelers with it. They are a workhorse, and I can only imagine what Ian's 4x6 Gator can do.

  • @LightoramaLED I didn't say "you can't do anything with them". I can use a $4k computer as a paperweight or doorstop, but it doesn't make much sense. I'm saying that a 4x4 pickup will do anything I can think you'd do with one of those. maybe going down a thin hunting trail, but if you're a real hunter, you ought to be humping it in, not riding in w/all kinds of equipment or "stocking" deer. Just my opinion.

  • @kenfo0 gators are really useful actually- pulling stuff, hauling stuff, getting out to fields, taking tools out to fields to fix stuff....

  • @woodman1241 people keep writing the same junk. Nowhere did I say "you can't carry tools and stuff with a gator". I said, why pay THOUSANDS of dollars extra when a 4wd pickup (which a farmer likely already owns) will carry far more and can go about anywhere. The only reason I could see would be if one needed to go down a narrow trail, too narrow for a truck.

  • Hello Ian,

We love watching your family's gator. Why don't you make a spring video? Ian, we need to see you, this time. Up until now, we have only seen your shadow, while filming and your dad & brother. Come on, Ian! Jenn and I have to see if you are as cute as your Dad! Your yard is nicely manicured, too! :)

  • @TheJanemo10 Hey this is Ian thanks for watching and taking the time to comment on our videos. If you want to see the man behind the camera, go to myspace.com under people and search Ian Perkins and look at my profile. Im the first Ian Perkins that shows up, when you search Myspace. Leave comments thanks!!

  • im gonna hook up a snowblower on it if you can? but great vid i like it

  • that is one of the coolest thing EVER

  • is the cab fully sealed, im looking to buy one

  • It's pretty nice I like it. I like my 2011 XUV gator better. Mine has an independent rear suspension and can do anything and go anywhere. I love the John Deere diesel gators. They can do anything. I like yours but the new 2011 is really cool and I find it better than any other kind of Utillty Gator. Check out the 2011 XUV

  • i like it

  • I just bought and fixed up a gas gator 6x4 and i love it. i wouldnt trade it for the world. ( wel maybe a Diesel) by far the most handy versitile compact vehicle with the best weight handleing capabilities in its class

  • im trying to get one of those cabs for my 825i they seem really nice wered u get urs from

  • @daisytest I'm glad someone sees it that way, Thanks!

  • I've used a gator enough to know that their in the best working ability with the least amount of obstruction to view, and need maximum capacity of the dump bed. And uve wasted prob over 2500 dollars limiting its working ability. Plus its loud and slow. Its not a toocat buddy. Stop acting like its is! Boo ya.

  • The windows cant roll down. Its slow as shit. Expensive as hell. Toolbox takes up half the bed. noisy as hell. gets stuck everywhere. There is no use for this thing in the manor you have it set up. BORING. I use a gas version of this for landscaping and urs is dumb.

  • @brianking311 one word for you dude and that is "envy".

  • @brianking311 doesnt get stuck everywere diesels are badass, there saposed to be loud and i bet u this one would kick urs ass

  • I got a little cx

  • hey man is good i liked

  • hey man is good i liked

  • Great machine! I used to use one in the UK. No cab or extra gadgets on ours though. Always started first time and a smooth ride.

  • how much does it cost

  • now, i can´t see that it´s snow

  • John Deere is the best I own a gator and have had it 6 years and havent replaced anything yet.

  • @railroadman57 Thank you so much for the kind words! Glad you liked the video, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

  • i got a cub cadet 6x4

  • hey nice gator ive got the xuv and ive been wanting to put a cab on it but we have pretty warm seasons in TN and could you get ac with the cab bty very nice vid quality..

  • @heathdspain Hey thanks for the kind words. On our gator their isn't and option for A/C, but when it's hot we just take the doors off and the windshield also pushes out. I hope that answer's your question. Thank you again for watching and also taking the time to comment. My family also's has another gator video on youtube that we shot in the summer if you would like to check it out. just type john deere gator 6x4 summer video and its the first video that pops up. Thanks :)

  • Nice Mini-truck!

  • other 4x4 and 4x2 gators like the hpx and tx seem to handle a lot better then a 6x4. With a load of dirt in the back they can be a pain to turn

  • @firstdowns14 I can agree with that, the ground clearance is low compared to other models thats why they can be hard to turn sometimes, still a beast though Thanks for watching and commenting!!

  • i wud have sum fun in i machine like that

  • ironcop10 YOU R THE DUMB FUCK!!!

  • ironcop10 YOU R THE DUMB FUCK!!!

  • Nice gator..good vid.

  • your gater is awesome my gater is nothing compared to yours

  • sweet

  • @dukesroc01 Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!

  • @fdper9798 your welcome

  • Disapointed I would have like to c it in real action not just puttin around the yard. Blahh

  • @ironcop10 Hey if your disappointed with the video and want to see it in action why don't you go buy one and make your own video, Blahh yourself

  • i like john deere as much as the next guy and own several peaces of jd equipment but the kubota rtv 1100 is the king of rtvs for the simple fact of ac and a radio

  • @The145shawn Hey if kubota works for you, their is nothing wrong with that. I have to say though it would be hard for me to buy one, i like John Deere to much.

  • @fdper9798 how do you guys have in ure gator cab and all

  • faggits does yer daddy touch yer dirty spot

  • nice man

  • gators should be like a 6 seater that would be sweat!

  • @HaloGl3itcherZ , its called the back for 2 more people and a wagon lol

  • @TheAgentbrady101 True...

  • @fdper9798 yeah, just tie a wagon to the cart :D great vid

  • Why would you need all those pampering acceseries. Its a gator, not a car. Why would you need a winsheild wipers or seatbelts - its not like your going to drive it on the road. This is just a waste of money.

  • Well now let's see - Since we use it in our Tree Company that puts us out in the elements unlike you who never gets out of his room. How does that saying go "If I have to explain it to you - you wouldn't understand. Oh and by the way we have added some more features that witll be uploaded soon. Have a nice day but don't forget to get a life too.

  • wow thats alot of money, pretty nice setup there lol

  • hey i like it

  • model year????

  • What is top speed on it, Im just wondering because I would have to use it to move around a large area

  • there is a lot to dislike cuz it has to go faster than 200 mph so... i freaking hate it

  • That is a really nice machine

    Very well kept bravo

  • cool my dad has a 2/4
