But Airbus A380 has been for sale 9 years + has only delivered 58 + can only build 2 per month + have sold only 232 planes. Airlines are not buying the A380 cus it has to sell 500 to break + at present rate it will be outdated and bankrupt in 2 years. Having been involved in the design and construction for various systems on both aircraft over the last 10 years i would say that they are both good aircraft. The only apprehension i have is flying in the 787. There are so many issues potentially with the wings. Speaking as an Engineer - it is of concern to me that it has been proven that composites attract lightning strikes! and the way that composite wings will take the amount of damage that aluminum has in the past remains to be seen..

I personally am a Airbus fan, I enjoy flying on the products of Airbus, and unlike many so called 'pilots' commenting here, I've never heard a pilot complain about a Airbus aircraft. Occasionally the computer might do a strange thing, but the pilot is still in 100% control.

well, just wait until Boeing finishes the 797, which is going to be bigger, faster and more efficient than the A380, also Boeing has the 787, once again Boeing is ahead of the game.
@Pvjinflight being big is nothing special either (unless youre talking about penises). 787 will be more fuel efficient, comfortable for passenger, cheaper for ailrines, and they will be much more technologically advanced. The only thing special about the a380 is because it's big. Nowadays, airbus only makes planes for publicity. I wish they could make more planes like the a300.

I'd choose the 787. Also because the sheer size of the Airbus limits it to certain airports. Besides the 787 is cheaper, and because of the composite fuselage giving it low weight it is also more fuel efficient and has a long flight range too.
i am going on an a380 soon :) im flying with ryanair to heathrow or not ryanair to london city airport and then staying in bath road so i get a view of the heathrow runway next morning a380-800 to paris .the reasson its the a380 because the airbus manufacture deliverd them sooner than expectde so they will be used in short haul routes for training :)?
the 787 is really pretty with its curved wings but then again the a380 is the biggest airliner in the world. also the 787 looks like a fighter cockpit

But Airbus A380 has been for sale 9 years + has only delivered 58 + can only build 2 per month + have sold only 232 planes. Airlines are not buying the A380 cus it has to sell 500 to break + at present rate it will be outdated and bankrupt in 2 years. Having been involved in the design and construction for various systems on both aircraft over the last 10 years i would say that they are both good aircraft. The only apprehension i have is flying in the 787. There are so many issues potentially with the wings. Speaking as an Engineer - it is of concern to me that it has been proven that composites attract lightning strikes! and the way that composite wings will take the amount of damage that aluminum has in the past remains to be seen..

I personally am a Airbus fan, I enjoy flying on the products of Airbus, and unlike many so called 'pilots' commenting here, I've never heard a pilot complain about a Airbus aircraft. Occasionally the computer might do a strange thing, but the pilot is still in 100% control.

So, if we had a completely open and honest field, why did Boeing feel the need to block Airbus from getting the Air Tanker KC135 replacement contract even after it was granted?
Especially after Airbus made a functioning plane that is flying now?
Boeing did not even bother to produce a working plane. And the plane that they had on paper was not as good as the already working Airbus plane.

@Scanvest 1ST American Veterans like myself for security reasons believe the only company that should builld airplanes USAF will be American. Russia has same policy. USA cannot trust Europeans to insure saftey + reliability of USA military product since U have different opinions on foreign policy. In the future USA will not send military products to be manufacured by foreign compansy. Airfags does not have Boeing experience. Boeing builds the best commercial + military airplanes in the world.

In the last 10years there have been 3 B727 crashes, 22 B737 crashes, some of which involved exploding fuel tanks, engine failures & engines fires. Also 6 involving B747's. I've not bothered going any further but you get the point right? Perhaps all Boeing aircraft ought to be grounded on that basis. And added to that are the FOUR uncontained explosions in the GE CF6-45/50 engines & GE CF6-80E. Perhaps GE ought to be banned too. Ur a joke!

@Pvjinflight being big is nothing special either (unless youre talking about penises). 787 will be more fuel efficient, comfortable for passenger, cheaper for ailrines, and they will be much more technologically advanced. The only thing special about the a380 is because it's big. Nowadays, airbus only makes planes for publicity. I wish they could make more planes like the a300.

I'd choose the 787. Also because the sheer size of the Airbus limits it to certain airports. Besides the 787 is cheaper, and because of the composite fuselage giving it low weight it is also more fuel efficient and has a long flight range too.

i am going on an a380 soon :) im flying with ryanair to heathrow or not ryanair to london city airport and then staying in bath road so i get a view of the heathrow runway next morning a380-800 to paris .the reasson its the a380 because the airbus manufacture deliverd them sooner than expectde so they will be used in short haul routes for training :)?
