  • IF U DON'T LIKE THIS POEM IT MANES U DON'T LIKE PEACE

  • If we understand what he says ..... we'll never be fighting like animals ,,,I wish we understand this ...................... but how long this will happen there is end for everything good or bad ...

  • Hope we Indians learn something from this poem.

  • Excellent song by Pradeepji. In fact all his songs are patriotic and touch hearts. This song is highly relevant today with the misrule going unabated. With religious hatred all around Prdeepji has penned his lyrics most appropriately.Yet no solution appears in near future. Democracy has ruined this nation beyond repair.

  • ek gagaan ( space ) mein mei lakho tareh ( billions of stars ) ... kabhi na wo apas mei mei larte ... They Are At Peace With Each Other ...Lekin is insan ko dekho ...kitna hai ye hi KAMINA... Is ne lakho ka sukh chi na ...constantly waging WAR at each other....!Is religion the cause of messes today? PERHAPS .... On the contrary Religion has assisted many in becoming a better individual.

  • @niazarijo ..really very nice song

  • Simply a great healer for those who have lost their dear ones during the riots or voilence. If people start following the advice of this great poet by behaving humanly with the fellow humans, a big positive change can take place in the humanly behaviour and peace and harmoney shall prevail among all human beings on this earth. Hoping the positive attitude in all the living human beings resurfaces which has almost been erased by the act of those who are referred to in this great song.

  • Dear pradeep saab we miss you.

  • Kaviji Shown futere which today we are every day remembering them.

  • KPM...still the truest song in Bollywood....I hate that term,....nevermind (Nirvana ! )

  • this song makes every body to WEEP ABOUT THE SITUATION.

  • Wish the politicians( both in India & Pakistan) have some sense. The the song is so true to reflect their (politicians} moral bankruptcy

Why can't there be another Kavi Pradip

  • Such a beautiful song!!! Lovely melody and the music leaves room for the VOICE, such a nice one! Can anyone please, translate this song ? Thanks beforehand.

  • PEACE TO ALL. !

  • part6

What will happen to these helpless ones? What will happen these poor ones?

What will happen to these unfortunate ones? They can lose everything.

They can be attacked, no saviour is visible, the one above is sleeping.

What has happened to our world, the corpse of love has been created.

  • part5

It is such a wretch, it has robbed the well being of so many.

Its face will not hide its atrocieties.

This enmity amongst us has only resulted in

The world laughing at us, and we have got a bad name.

What a time of danger it is, even the winds are poisonous.

Wherever you look, its the same dark night.

The shadow of death haunts every house, who knows whats to happen.

Closed are the windows, closed are the doors. All are sitting scared.

  • part4

Who can we blame? To whom can we complain?

Those causing the fighting, are our own brothers.

All are our brothers, but all have forgotten love.

All this bloodshed, the perpetrator is society itself.

Listen all you listeners, take a gaze to the sky.

In one sky lives so many millions of stars.

But live so beautifully together. The never quarrel. They never argue.

They never pull out knives, they never draw blood.

But look at this human being, the pride of the earth.

  • dear friend,

thanks a lot for translating the song 'aaj ke is insaan ko' in english, for the benefit of those who does not understand hindi or urdu properly.

    regards

    madhu sudhan

  • You are very welcome Madhu. Its a very small way of saying "thanks" for posting such a great song/poem in the first place. I just hope the translation is OK, and it does not offend anyone, and end up like the song content ! I have done my best, considering I have been living in UK for over 40 years now.

  • translation part3

But its not that thing anymore, its double crossing now.

ill winds are blowing now, every scarf is in danger, every veil is in danger.

In this danger is respect of a sister, in this danger is the bangles of a bride.

Scared is every footstep, in case we are wounded today.

No house is fortunate today, all are worried about being looted.

We have seen our nation, and the fall of man.

Today, sisters are being attacked, far in some corner religion is crying.

  • translation part 2

The gardens and lanes are crying, all neighborhoods are crying

Salma is crying, and so is Sita.

The Koran is crying and so is the Gita.

Today, the Himalaya is shouting, what happened to that old bond?

Poisonous snakes have bitten the nation.

The house was burnt by the lanterns of the house.

Our nation was such a nation, troubled times came 100,000 times.

Human beings lost their lives, but preserved the respect of the sisters.

  • For Malleck1 and all, translation part 1:-

What has happened to this human of today?

What has happened to his old tradition of love?

What an unfortunate situation, brothers are at war.

There is blood, there is bonfires, who knows what else is to happen?

Everyone's head is lowered, the flag of freedom is lowered.

Their is bloodshed everywhere, every knife has blood on it

Society is so unhappy, so many men and women are crying

  • Hello Sister or Brother, Want to thank you from the depth of my heart. for this translation

I'm living in France since 30 years. Keep going on . You are marvellous. Translation needs time and time is our life as they say. Bye and warm regards to you all. Malleck.

  • Ahem, Punjabi bro (paji !) here. You are very welcome, please thank Madhu for posting in the first place. Another lesser known Indian poet, but hugely popular in Punjab is Shiv Batalvi, he inspired me to give poets a chance. Pradeep was someone my Dad listened to, so I got intrigued. I am no expert in Hindi, but I tried my best. Pradeep's poetry is real, patriotic, respects women, and he sings himself ! And being a rocker myself, I like his long hair ! All the best Mon Ami !

  • ajj ki sachhi ko utaara gayya hai ye 2009 ka insaan

  • Graf = Grave.

And of the song= End of song

  • In Sort. There is a little group of hindu and muslim they are fighting for each own Religon. But the religon are crying, why this war! No woman is free to life anything is possible because everyone can attact them. ONE of good point of thes song is: Look up in 1 sky there are many stars, they never fight. And of the song: Look there is a graf of love.... (end of peace).
