  • Grins abound :D

  • I have the periodic table shirt hehe...

  • Is he playing Astor Piazzolla at 2:44 ?

  • @Natokun i also think it's the libertango

  • That was just great!

  • I love it!!!!!

  • wow but WOW!!!l couldn't believe this video was going to be so funny after a wow l got suprise when elizabeth said "l play piano with imosion not just to show off ""

  • wow but WOW!!!l couldn't believe this video was going to be so funny after a wow l got suprise when elizabeth said "l play piano with imosion not just to show off "" wow l wont get bored you guys are the best

  • "His music are heroic" must become a meme. Beethoven fans, make it happen.

  • Hahahahahahaha!!!!! So funny! Great video!

  • so sad so beautiful

  • That was sooooooooooooo funny! I love you guys

  • hahahahahahahaha i keep laughing while watching this vid.!!!!!

  • mwahah, pretty funny xD

    and awesome acting guys :D

  • They are freaking hilarious but i can understand what they are trying to say.....for those people who like to make people feel bad....ITS MUSIC! APPRECIATE THAT SOMEONE IS PLAYING AND SHUT UP! but in a nicer tone than mine...

  • this is pretty hilarious!

but seriously though. is he gay? it's not a big deal but im curious.

how did you 2 meet, btw?

  • LOL!!!

  • The ending when he attacked her was so funny!! XD You made my day!! ;)

  • @WilliamRayWalters Doesn't overacting make things look even more stupid, which makes them more hilarious? Well, I don't know what I'm talking about so please correct me...

  • in my opinion, this parody lacks soul. I am two years old and i could have made a better parody xP

  • Agreed that most people should use their ears and not their minds.

Martha Algerich still keeps busy. She hasn't late age or two major cancer scares slow her a bit. Still wears her hair the same as she did 50 years ago. I had the pleasure of conducting one of her performances in the 1980's and saw her at a concert last year. Her technique is still beyond belief. She hasn't lost a thing.

  • I admit that some comments can be very anal, but I disagree with "just listen". Constructive critiques are a tool by which a musician can learn and improve.

  • @TomBarrister I really think that if you try to give Kissin or Argerich constructive criticism through a youtubevideo, you're going the wrooong way! :p

And if that's the only way you can get to them, then I really don't think that you are a person that will get to them at all. =)

  • @bb0ysmiley What do Kissin and Argerich have to do with what I said?

  • @TomBarrister You didn't notice that the video you commented was about Argerich, Kissin, and several other legendary pianists? =)

That's why they say "just listen". Constructive criticism is good, yes, but if people think that their constructive critisism will be recieved, and that it will improve the playing of theese top notch pianist's, then the commentators is pretty darn naive =)

  • @bb0ysmiley Yes, but my comment was about the remark the authors made: "just listen". How you interpreted that to mean that we should critique concert artists is a mystery.

  • @TomBarrister This video is about randoms commenting on legendary pianists as they know bether. That is why the authors say "just listen". Cus there is no meaning to comment on theese pianists =)

  • @TomBarrister Barrister, have you spoken to Martha in the last year or so? The last time I saw her, she asked about you.

  • @pianistconductor I see you made the same faux pas you've been making for 40 years, calling her Algerich :p (To others: there's a reason he screws that up, and it's an inside joke).

I had a nice chat with her a few months ago. She looks great, hasn't changed a whole lot----a bit older on the outside, still young at heart.

  • @bb0ysmiley It's interesting that you can make that comment about Barrister. Do you know him?

  • @pianistconductor I'm not making the comments about him, but the people that write such criticism, wich he did not do. =)

I agree with him, I do, but trolls on YT that that think they know bether than the masters, like the one who wrote the comment they act out at 2:00, dosent really give any constructive criticism, and if that's what they try to do, they are doing it wrong :p

  • I really wish I had known about you guys before I had the masterclass with you two. You are two really awesome people, and I hope to see you perform/meet you again!

Concerning the video: if either of you gets the chance, play this (and Beethoven's Tempest sonata) on a Broadwood--it's a really neat experience.

  • Hahaha. This is hilarious.

  • Nice try but you'll never get into Juilliard with that kinda attitude.

  • @MightyCarnac they got OUT of Juilliard with that kinda attitude

  • AHA ;D I am dying here! XD AHAHAHA

    LOLOLOLOL

Sadly, these are real comments ;D

    I love you guys! ♥

NOTE: Music is never "correct" or "incorrect", music is what YOU make it. You can not claim to be better just because someones tempo is higher or lower > >

  • Great sense of humor! ;-)

if music doesn't turn out to be a constant source of wealth for you two, you could still go for comedy :)

  • "You people talk to much. Just listen." But it was a bit on the slow side. Beethoven would not have been pleased by this interpretation. Very well done satire!

  • well said.

    well done.

    nuff said.

  • hahaha. now do me

  • No matter what anyone else says, you two are incredible. Absolutely incredible imagination and ability to communicate such. Maybe the most creative musicians on YouTube.

  • hahhaha i thought your commentary coulda been better, more emotion :P :P

  • You two are my heroes.

  • Hilarious... Keep the good job... This is a real good Youtube satire. Ironically, the "Moonlight" played here is one of the best in the site. Is it posted without the comments?

  • Brilliant! The Moonlight in the background is a tad on the slow side, though... :)))

  • wat ! it never told me thank you ur comment has been posted

LOL i also loved ur vid

  • @ 6:50... I would've done that too...

  • You guys are great!!!. congratulations !!!

  • please dude upload only the piece...it sounds so good!

  • i love this lol

  • haha, very funny. Im sure all those people do not understand that the music is played how the pianist feels it and everyone is different. What was the piece that you started at 2.45?

  • @brandonscherrer

    Libertango, by Astor Piazzolla

  • @marianabpiano Thanks, sounds good might take a look at it.

  • You should put more feelings into your playing and otherwise than your sarcasm it was very good, sounded like the original by Beat Oven.

  • hilarious!!! XD

  • What the hell was that gay bullshit?!

  • @lazsadt Why does sexuality matter to you?

  • @brandonscherrer because gays aren't human...

  • Lol^^

    That was awesome!!!

  • esyas estan locos...

  • ! ***** !

  • phahaha u guys are funny

  • LOL that was funny..

  • absolute shit - why try to be amusing by deriding a masterpiece? Very stupid indeed

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, and to the people who made this video, this is HILARIOUS and amazing. It's so fun to actually HEAR these comments being spoken by real people rather than just seeing them as text on a screen. Sometimes I forget that these really are people saying these ridiculous things and it's hilarious imagining them saying it in person. Great stuff guys! =D

  • Hilarious.

  • That's what happens when performances are put in video and a forum is added below.

BTW, you're playing way too quietly at 0.00-0.20. Shouldn't there be a sound of a bench being moved? LOL

  • spot on

  • This is one of my favorite videos--I watch it regularly. I can never decide which of these re-enactments is my favorite! =P

  • I like it very much :D

  • That shows just how idiosyncratic people have become over music. Just sit back and enjoy each performance for what makes it special from everyone else's.

  • @HeadCaptain:

    Amen to that.

I love how everyone has a different interpretation of a piece... If everyone played it exactly the same way things would get very boring very fast.

You can never please everyone, even with a wonderful performance. Someone will always prefer it "this way" or "that way". People need to learn to listen to the ones they enjoy, and quietly pass over the ones they do not. It's stupid and annoying for people to sit and say "you should have played it MY way". =P

  • HAHA.That was soo great!

  • love you guys!

  • I love the part where you you guys are married "My wife says you play it too slow" LOL

  • beethoven wouldn't have had all that bickering in his rendition ahahahahahahahaha

  • oh my god, I love you guys.

  • I thought you played it perfectly!

  • LOL! haha! I remembered Fred 1:49

  • LOL yes!

  • i don't get it.

  • oh my gosh. People actually said that they have heard the original. Well, call the book of world records, because the are OLD! You make good points, how would they know!

Oh, and, "his music are heroic . . . "

Wow, lets give them an award for best grammar!

I think it was played beautifully!

  • I thought the acting at 4:21 was a little forced. I attended acting school for 2 months, so I'm pretty sure I can recognize over acting. And then again at 5:01. Otherwise it's a great and funny take on stupid youtube comments......

  • I don't care much about your comments so please shove it up your ***hole! AND BY THE WAY YOUR SCHOOL EXPERIENCE DOESN'T MEAN **** TO ME.

  • I realize you're just a young kid, but damn, it was sarcasm you nut. Relax and reread my comment. '2 months of acting school so I can recognize over acting'? You're killing me buddy. lol.

  • *facepalm*

The response to the comment I believed you were trying to imitate in the video was the one that I posted in response to yours. Please, mine was sarcastic also.

  • Oh no you didn't....

  • @WilliamRayWalters is this supposed to be sarcastic? please tell me. I'm really bugged.

  • @WilliamRayWalters im afraid yours may be up next.

  • @WilliamRayWalters that was sarcasm, right?? xDD

  • @WilliamRayWalters I love how this comment is exactly the type of comment this video attacks the most.

  • @WilliamRayWalters Who cares???? It's really really funny! I guess you hope that your comment will also be used for a future film...LOL

  • This still makes me laugh SO HARD even after being posted over 2 years ago, I love you both! All the best to both of you.

  • Lmao omg I love you guys

  • yea, this deals in the whole politics of music. Even in general politics they nailed IMO. I.e.

I'm personally democrat, but I personally can't stand facebook whether it's my side or against because arguments are really this way. You can be the smartest or most talented one, but people in general will be too dumb to understand. I share the empathy with these great artists.

  • At 3:40 to 3:47 I laughed the hardest.

  • "his music are heroic..." lol.

  • lol u two are weird

  • you two are the greatest.

  • rofllollmao - neat though

  • Because most Youtube viewers don't like asses like you who post comments dissing others videos!

And this video makes fun of all of them, so just go away. Bye!

  • "And then at, 3:25 to 3:26...he made another mistake...", had me crying laughing

  • True !

    Verry god video !

  • lol that so so funny and true.

  • so true, people can post such dumbass comments on videos xD

    great vid^^

  • The video is really hilarious ,

and moonlight sonata is just soo beautifull,

i can listen to it all day

    LOVE IT :D:D

  • true...

  • DAMNNNNNN let me give you 19 stars you guys are too true

  • Shouldn't you two be practising? j/k. What a hilarious video. Thank you!

  • "I've heard the ORIGINAL!" Haha, loved that bit.

  • Umm......yeah...

  • Thank you. Thanks for making it OK to play it fast OR slow. This is hilarious.

  • 'Moonlight' was a great choice for this little parody. It was an eerie juxtaposition of banality and divinity.

  • this is one of my favorite favorites. doin purdy good job.

  • you two r nuts

  • hahahahaha! Awesome!

  • The playing of the piece was all right, but it still needs some work. It is supposed to be played in Adagio Sostenuto and it was more played Adageitto. Beethoven would've liked it if you slowed down a bit and had a bit more feeling.

  • really??? you're what made this video what it is today... .lol

  • bwhahaha that's awesome...although I'm kinda afraid to comment now...

  • WOW, this is SO true!!! Glad to see I'm not alone thinking so. lol great bloopers

    haha

  • Anderson and Roe are, as ever, delightful.

  • I like to laugh with YOU TUBE.

    Aurora

  • A very good depiction of the audience whose comments absolutely draw me again and again to this grotesquely popular website; a definite ROFL!!! Oh, I just peed in my pants...

  • 4.42 - 5.15 is so funny. Schizophrenism to its heightpoint. Really convinced now you're both gay and a gay basher. I'm confused =p.

  • u guys are sooo funny !! XD

  • You guys talk too much, just listen...

  • xD haha don't listen to them :D

I don't care what the others think, I thought that was hilarious!!

except for in 3:30 - 3:36...there you loose your tempo,

and I can do it much better than you guys, although I'm 14. oh and I'm not trying to boast or anything el oh el xD

  • You two are so cute :)

  • LoooL

  • Hauhauh i Love yous!

  • a tad slow...

  • too much fame, hit them on their heads... you better practice, so many lost time...

  • Comment removed

  • gosh! "Ivorytickling" don't you get it? they're talking about ppl exactly like you!

oh btw, why don't you just go practice and improve your english, instead of writing this kinda comments, letting the whole world know how bad you are at it. "that's just like, so MANY lost time".

  • haha !! who cares about your language "paulbaek"? It is proved to be the poorest worldide, mostly ono-two syllables, made by and for fool... and also, 1000% better than your Greek. I' m right?

  • xD let's not talk about who's better in which language haha don't worry, I think my german, korean, and english is better than yours ^^ (oh, andy and roe, I'm not trying to boast or anything :P)

well, I think u didn't get the point. I was actually criticizing ur unnecessary comment and not ur language. I was just making fun of it ,if u didn't notice ;) this will be the last comment on u since I'm not planning to waste my time writing U back ;) u don't have that MANY time either, practice! ;)

  • oh by the way you forgot the "s" :D it's "paulsbaek" and not "paulbaek" ^^

  • I CAN PLAY THIS SONG!!!!!!

  • hahahaha... lol

  • u people are all high

  • es simplemente una de las obras mas maravillosas de todos los tiempos, sino la mas maravillosa...

  • you just SLAMMED pretty much the whole of youtube! nice! its easy to make judgements just listen. AMEN

  • ahahaha that was awsome ........ am i allowed to say that though? no really!

    IM SCARED

  • I love this......My heart to all musiciancs in the world....

  • Lovely playing of the sonata. Unfortunately, however, there's a lot of rather strange chattering going on the whole time. Please explain.

  • lol

  • its funny and retarted lol but u guys r better than any of those wanna bees

  • You're making me smile, and it's not so often. You've got many great talents, that's obvious and wonderful! Don't lose your pureness, your music and persons are magical. Thanks.

    Eric

  • he's pure, go suck up your ass, thats the point

  • Who played in this video ?

  • Comment removed

  • i've watched this like 30 times, and i can't get enough of it. "my wife says you play too slow." " put more feelings in your fingers" i can't believe people actually write these things. please make another on of these.......

  • well you see you didn't keep the camera still at 4:25 and 4:30 lmao. LOL.

  • lol. my favorite is when people talk about how awesome they are. i honestly don't know if i have ever been to a place where people were so un-justifiably self-inflated. except, maybe, at music school....

  • too funny, i remember playing not very well one day and a visitor to our house said i played "beatifully" LOL

  • At 6:33 y'all are totally gay. Luddwick thought that was cool, you know?

  • big creativity. great acting. everything said in the video is really to the point. there´s only one thing to criticise: it was played too slow ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • This is really good. Thank you!

Sehr gut! Kann man nur weiter empfehlen!

  • jhajaja that was great, u guys should make a movie..greetings from argentina

  • Wow....that was...really different...

  • LOL that's an accurate interpretation of most of the commenters in YouTube, whether it's music-related or not.

  • You guys have a good sense of humor!

  • well done....well done!

  • you guys are my new favorite heroes!!!!

  • Yikes Hilarious! And TRUE!

  • omg i LOLed at every second xD this is hilarious! great job guys, and yes I do agree, some people are just either just too damn picky or too insensitive lol

for god's sake, just listen xD

  • Awesome!!! You had my attention throughout!

  • hahahaha, I love the concept.....

  • hahah That was so funny and true!! It's really good to see that you guys are not boring robots like so many piano players. Usually the 'better they get' the 'more stuffy they get'. You really make classical music 'fun'. You guys are so very inspiring!!! :)

  • Awesome - you could make a career out of just this :)

  • your satire is amazing :)

  • Hilarious :D
