Perpich! I am the younger sister of an '10 grad and a future '11 grad, and this year I am planning to try out for the Media department. I look forward to even just trying out sooo much, Perpich had by far the best atmosphere of any place I've ever been to.
Does anyone have tips for my audition into the Media section?
don't worry about the academics. i'm a '97 grad and i have my doctorate in pharmacy and am a 4th yr med student. it won't hold you back. if anything, it'll give you something to talk about during college interviews.
i'm a current theater student at PCAE, and its probably the GREATEST place on earth. The academic classes are outstanding. And considering all of the classes really try to incorporate art into the curriculumn, it gives you countless ways to express yourself creatively. Right now i'm taking a class called Collision Course which is about the 60's and for my final project i'm making a dress out of headlines from the 60s. its the greatest school i've ever been to and i dont want to graduate. APPLY!
ahhhh, that makes me really excited. I applied for visual arts this year and I made it in! So next year I'll be going there and living there and I'm really excited!
@thumtacks Cool! I'm trying out this year, so hopefully I'll see you when you're in Senior class! I have an older sister (and her friend) who will be Seniors in the Literary department next year, and I hope to be in as a junior in the 2011/2012 school year. Best of luck going to Perpich! <3
I'm thinking of applying to Perpich fro voice, and this really impressed me! I'm just worried about the academic program being unimpressive to colleges...what did do you grads think about the academics?
Apply! Apply! Apply! Apply! It will be the best experience of your life! I went to Perpich. Graduated in 1996. It was such an incredible experience. Musically, creatively, socially... everything. In terms of academics... Perpich will be just as good, if not better than anything you could get at whatever school you're going to now. Do it! (any questions, send me a message)
@kweenleah Not a grad, but both of my sisters have attended Perpich and I plan to. I have heard tons of great feedback on the academic courses, most of the teachers there sound just as good or better at teaching their class than most public school teachers, and I don't think I've ever heard or conflicts or bad teachers. Go to Perpich, I swear it is the best place on earth.
I still go back to visit ('06 grad)... Gallery shows, dance preformances, or just drop in on Karen or Mr. Farmer. But even when I went there I never went to the Music preformances, so thanks for posting some :D
I went :) Finishing my first year and I lovvve it!!!
