@brusko3269 This girl was really lively and truly talented. she was a contestant in Bagong Kampeon with Pilita Corrales and won star Search over Cristina Aguillera in 1989. Better than Charice? I´m not quite sure with that assesment. Banig sings another genre while Charice sings almost everything from pop, R&B to semi-opera. For me the thing that Banig doesn´t have which Charice has, "aura and charisma". Charice gives me goosebumps at age 9. Both of them are Philippine pride, no need to compare!

Rap n hip hop started those days w/c Banigs energetic talent fitted in, but the question is, how is she outside her comfort zone. I saw her sang One Moment in Time. She´s not even closed with Charice. Charice has a little bit of everything, adapts any venue and fits in. A 50 % of talent is not enough, you have to offer more than that to be a total performer.

@brusko3269 Banig is a true performer, very talented girl. I just explained what a total performer in my view. It´s also a matter of lack & destiny. Charice is destined to be an international artist. She has this charisma that can attract international audience. What´s the difference between Kelly Clarkson & Claire Underwood. Claire is very popular in the US today, but will never attract international audience like Clarkson. Banig & Charice are both Philippine pride. We just leave it like that.
