The whole Beggars album is fuckin awesome, Was never a fan of the old thrice like Artist in the Ambulance they were trying to hard to be like hardcore or something. this fits them much better and I actually enjoy it alot

@BongSheetWeetWooo686 when they made those albums you have to take into account there age. they change according to age otherwise they wouldnt seem very appropriate. And all of there stuff is awsome i loved those older albums with songs like motion isnt meaning and eclipse...artist in the ambulance was awsome too, that was the album in which they made a turning point from there original content

well Radiohead are their main influence. I don't blame them. Radiohead are absolutely immense.

Perhaps Beggars is TOO much like Radiohead though. They sounded more original when they still had that heavier edge, post-metal edge, like Vheissu.

What I find interesting is that you don't see much senseless internet conflict between people on the comments sections of uploaded Thrice videos at all. Of course people will bash here and there upon Dustin Kensrue's beliefs, but he has explicitly stated publicly that, "Not everyone in Thrice is a christian." many people are critic with them for being a christian band. well I don't practise any religion nor think they are really a christian band, it's just their speech is sometimes about wisdom or hope instead of hell, frustration, the whore i met saturday night, demons from the bottom of the abyss and other scurfy stuff in black usually related to rock. i mean all those is ok and so is thrice.

thrice is an under rated band. i started listening them since the artist in the ambulance and now they have become my favourite band by far. each album is a gift you never know what's inside but everything good. the more I hear them the more I like their tunes and the more I share their thoughts.

Yeah personally I liked some of the material from the Artist in the Ambulance. I admit that Vhessu didn't get the praise it deserved. Such a gap in the level of quality of the music. It's hard to define the genre of Thrice from grunge rock and screaming lyrics to soft guitar solos and  indie bass. Great band! A real gem!
