I recently won a Call of Duty Tournament here in Los Angeles and I love thrice so much that i might buy every single one of their albums again with the prize money just because they're so bad ass they deserve more money than rappers. Thrice can expect another $1k in their pockets for not being lazy and making amazing music. 5*
i love thrice man they change every single album but i guess they have to cordinate with age other wise it would not seem apropiate. they have a song for every mood i have. Unless i want to listen to heavy metal then i listen to pantera. fucking love this band
The whole Beggars album is fuckin awesome, Was never a fan of the old thrice like Artist in the Ambulance they were trying to hard to be like hardcore or something. this fits them much better and I actually enjoy it alot
@BongSheetWeetWooo686 when they made those albums you have to take into account there age. they change according to age otherwise they wouldnt seem very appropriate. And all of there stuff is awsome i loved those older albums with songs like motion isnt meaning and eclipse...artist in the ambulance was awsome too, that was the album in which they made a turning point from there original content
ooh, my friend recorded circles live. think i should post that. their north american tour just ended a few months ago. next time they play, you all have to go.
Wow, this song really blows me away - absolutely love it. I don't suppose anyone knows any songs similar to it...? Any contribution would be really appreciated.
@h2emlyn All of their Water album is quite similar to this, and the songs Between The End And Where We Lie, Red Sky, and Atlantic off their Vheissu album. The Great Exchange has a similar sound as well.

What I find interesting is that you don't see much senseless internet conflict between people on the comments sections of uploaded Thrice videos at all. Of course people will bash here and there upon Dustin Kensrue's beliefs, but he has explicitly stated publicly that, "Not everyone in Thrice is a christian." You can also see that at this link near the bottom of the page here. It is much more implicit, however:
"True progress means, matching the world to the vision in our heads. We always change the vision instead." - Timeless...Dustin´s vocals....aaah, no fuckin´words !
many people are critic with them for being a christian band. well I don't practise any religion nor think they are really a christian band, it's just their speech is sometimes about wisdom or hope instead of hell, frustration, the whore i met saturday night, demons from the bottom of the abyss and other scurfy stuff in black usually related to rock. i mean all those is ok and so is thrice.
i said.
anyway if you like thrice or this song you may see a musicvideo i made for this song. regards!
thrice is an under rated band. i started listening them since the artist in the ambulance and now they have become my favourite band by far. each album is a gift you never know what's inside but everything good. the more I hear them the more I like their tunes and the more I share their thoughts.
Yeah personally I liked some of the material from the Artist in the Ambulance. I admit that Vhessu didn't get the praise it deserved. Such a gap in the level of quality of the music. It's hard to define the genre of Thrice from grunge rock and screaming lyrics to soft guitar solos and indie bass. Great band! A real gem!
Hey I would like 2 put this video on my facebook page, but when I do the embed code it just comes up as Text... Anyone know how I could fix that, or where I could download this 2 upload 2 my page? Thanks
We talk too much, we talk in circles Til we're all spining round reaching for rings on this merrygoround Scenery spins, we call it progrss I've sen this all before When al's said done we wake up on the flor We set sail with no fixed star in sight We drive by Braille and candle light We're building towers with no foundation Just stacking stone on stone Whatever it takes, Mix our mortar with bones True progres means matching the world to the vision in our heads We always change the vision instead

These guys are really unique, no band in history has changed so much in so little time, every album is different and original, Thrice you guys are really worth all the money.
Yes I did listen to mogwai, and no I don't think they are as original as Thrice, just listen to all of their albums and transitions and you'll see what I'm talking about ;)
@the4realeddie If you like this and the changes they go through you may also like the band Brand New. You should check them out, Thrice has listed them as one of their influences.
@the4realeddie i'd say idlewild have changed more, but thrice idlewild mew and radiohead are my fav bands due to their awesome and randomness! long live change
you can hear the metronome in the song!
great song, i love it

@AznDuoPROduction
well Radiohead are their main influence. I don't blame them. Radiohead are absolutely immense.
Perhaps Beggars is TOO much like Radiohead though. They sounded more original when they still had that heavier edge, post-metal edge, like Vheissu.
