I seen this in October I do believe and I loved it. I'm sure I looked like an idiot because my mouth was just open the whole time. I almost cried multiple time at just how beautifully everything was done. And the finale was a goosebump moment. Breathtaking and I would go again in a heartbeat
To continue, I was the one who stood up first because I couldn't stop myself from not shouting 'Bravo'. So to the cast who was looking at your right side, I was the guy wearing black! I am sincerely considering watching this again if there are rush tickets during a Friday night! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE TORONTO CAST! BRAVO, EVERYONE!
I watched this last night and all I can say is it was MAGICAL! I thought I was not going to enjoy this because I will keep comparing the lead to Julie Andrews but Elicia was Maria! The Mother Superior was astounding in the role, giving that infamous head tone at the end of Climb Every Mountain! Magical, astounding! I was the one shouting 'Bravo!' at the end to the embarrassment of my niece, Julie, who came here from the Phils. BRAVO, Toronto cast!!!!
I saw this in March i do believe. I went with my class. I LOVED it. I might go to see dirty dancing soon. I love how the stage moves. I put the ticket i got in my photo album. I loved Gretl. I also liked the song about Maria at the church, 5 Stars . This is a MUST see. Especially at this theatre.
Saw this today on February 8, 2009. Elicia was spectacular! Climb Every Mountain was an amazing performance. The set was fantastic! All in all, one of the best performances I've seen in a long time.
I saw The Sound of Music yesterday in Toronto and it was great, the Mother Abess's powerful voice, Maria's sweet tone and the children were just adorable, especially Gretl, this is one of the best plays anyone would see in their lifetime. It was nothing short of a phenomenal 5 star performance! This performance did not climb a mountain, it raised a mountain!
I just saw the show last night, and it was fabulous, Elicia, as well as the rest of the cast, embodied her character so well, I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The sets were spectular as well.
its kinda of the same. The SETS ARE IDENTIAL! LIVE U SEE MARIA IN LIKE THE CLOUDS LIKE SITTING UP! IF u saw it West End you would know what im talking about

I saw both Connie Fisher at the Palace Theatre and Elicia in Toronto and the Princess of Wales. Definitely Elicia was a strong Maria.
Connie Fisher was alright. I left the Palace Theatre production thinking 'meh' but the one in Toronto was outstanding.
It's now being recognized as the best one of the two.
as an aside, Connie Fisher's career went nowhere. Hence, she is returning to go on tour with the Sound of Music in London
