You guys need to realize the difference between a DJ & a Producer. Tiesto is one of the best DJs due to the fact his shows bring the crowds, are incredibly staged & put together, & he plays songs that really gets the crowd going. That is the definition of the award he won. Stop arguing about his productions. (& if u guys actually knew shit about him u would know he had Dennis & others producing his trance stuff & now has new engineers helping too). but ya, Cox, Sasha, Zabiela are better spinners

He really isn't the greatest dj of all time, he might be good at what he does, and is probably a lot better than a lot of dj's, but he's only won it because of the amount of kids who like trance, look at the other magazine's top 100, is Guetta 2nd best? obviously not.

Also going against the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Fatboy Slim and many others on the original list then he definitley isn't the greatest.

I'm not a trance fan, but if Tony De Vit won it, i would say "yeah fair enough"

@G0007 ok tiesto is good for he did in the past, i think the same, but seriously do you think the music he does now is good? tiesto productions were good before, now is sold to record companies and make music whit "three 6 mafia" or "nelly furtado", I do not mean that commercial music is bad, but what makes do now, compared with the music that he do in the past, it removes the positive points .

nowdays Tiesto’s new genre is Trouse (trance+house). its not bad, its a fresh sound, but most of the people say where is the good old Tiesto? my opinion : he has to move with the times, and he does it well. he wants to conquer the USA , he has a great marketing force behind him etctec so why not ? he shows us a new side of him what you can love, you can hate...but the talent is still there:)
