I bought a G1 and the only problem I have with it is the battery. I constantly have to charge it and there have been cases were my battery has drained. I lowered the brightness and the time out session but this problem continues.

Also, I'm not feeling the keyboard. I don't like the buttons on the keyboard or the sliding feature.

What I do like is the real time web browsing. Applications suck though. I might go back to my Blackberry.

I got it and it works great for me. The texting took some getting used to since I used to use my wife's sidekick. But after the first week or two, I got comfortable and never realize how close the keys are mounted. But you can do SO much more stuff with it than any phone I've had from web browsing, functionality, touch screep response and much more. I will warn you though that battery life is short which Tmobile is supposed to be working on. Hope that helps,

I've had it since Christmas and I can't manage to learn the keyboard. I had a Blackberry Pearl device and I could text without looking at the keys; with the G1 I have to look at the keys. The battery is a bummer. I do hope they fix it soon because I'm thinking of selling my phone for the Blackberry Bold.

Being that the market place is still in beta every app is free at the moment. plus theres new devs everyday making apps for it and uploading it to the market place. but you cant compare it to a app store that been open for about 2 years. aka iphone. but its on its way theres already tons of apps on it today

the behold is a good phone, it's a modified version of the instinct. But in my opinion the G1 is the way to go. it's an awesome device with a physical keyboard, touch screen, trackball, and physical buttons. You have 4 ways of input, where as the behold has 2. Plus the android community is producing some really nice applications. The behold's keyboard is decent, touchscreen keyboards aren't always the best. The G1's keyboard doesn't take long to get used to at all. I sat go with the G1. :]

I didnt have to change my plan, just added the $25 a month fee for internet. I have used the IPhone and with the hack features and I like the G! phone much better, but thats Just me. I like the setting features for each item you go to use, (phone, web browser ect)

It Does Require a Data Plan but you do not need to change your Voice Plan at all.

It's probably not that good. These full feature phones have horrible battery life. I had an iPhone and the battery life was so so until the 2.1 update. Check it out. You might like it for yourself.

Maybe its and advantage for you but, we have nothing to do with SD's cuz iPhone syncs smoothly with iTunes and everything can be synced on the cloud (MobileMe). And its automated for you, all you have to do is plug it in. No wear and tear. Maybe theres some other purposes for SD's, but currently I dont need it.

I feel you on your keyless preference but the rest of the stuff you stated is pointless. I have an iphone now and the iphone is too restricted. I have jailbreak my iphone just so i can use my iphone to as and internet access point for my laptop when wireless is not available. And you have to jailbreak your iphone for horizontal sms but you can use the internet and even the calculater in landscape mode. Apple will learn their lesson about common sense features and stupid restrictions.
