  • the dec25 thing was a joke. nobody needs drugs to enjoy these tunes

  • Gorgeous. This is pure crystal DEC-25

  • the best song in the world, well,my favourite anyway.

  • Until I heard this version of this song I never thought I would have a favourite song.

  • ...the casette played...........Does anybody still know what a cassette looks like these days?

  • My favourite version, in fact 'Chant' and 'Bad Baby' from this LP are better than the Metal Box versions.

  • This is exquisite. LOVE this version. Keith Levene's guitar work is in top form here! Absolutely hypnotic. Best of PiL!

  • beautifull, its good that there are still fans

  • beautifull

  • @rriffrraff It is beautiful...The cd of Metal Box never blows my speakers to bits..anymore.

  • Keith Levine's guitar always blows my mind in this song and add Jah Wobble on bass along w/John Lydon and this is a real kick ass song. Fucking brilliant. Still sounds great over 30 years later.

  • @desaderridian amen to that, cant beat poptones and careering!

  • Had this album and CD, seen them live and the sound is still just fuckin fantastic, funny how the drummer never seemed to get much recognition for his relentless drive

  • Forget all those so called great guitarists. Levene the best ever!!!

  • If you keep spitting i will leave the stage, doog

  • The live version of poptones from 'plastic box' is also godly

  • Bionik Kronik!!

  • I LOVE THIS.

  • I had this cd at past.

  • Perfection, mistakes and all then getting it back then soaring.....a.

  • this song, beautiful.

  • It all sounds it will fall apart, but never does. The Metal Box version is great but this does it.

  • oh pil, johnny fuckin lydon.

the song is intense, a great one.

    thanks for uploading.

  • this version of poptones and lowlife were rarely off my walkman (remember them?!) during the 80's, along with big black, birthday party, the fall, sisters, husker du and fugazi. fucking good times. thanks for the memories man. would give it 12 stars if i could. lydon was something special once. but now.....

  • Always a good record to put on when you feel a bit too sorry for yourself

Fighting spirit whatever the situation, fuck em etc etc

  • I immediately bought the album after listening to this version of Poptones. Great upload!

  • Wow...didn't know this excisted./ Out there an round the corner!

  • This is an amazing album. PiL album was before my time, but John's solo career was it its '90s zenith and the record store had a copy of this on vinyl. I bought it, and went home to the basement, put it on the turn table, turned our massive speakers on, and dialed up on the bass. Seldom has anything sounded so good. I must've played it hours on end. GREAT upload. Thanks.

  • i like this album...it has a raw edge to it . in some cases better than the original tracks...i have it on vinyl.

  • apparently the reverb (echo) is to drown out the booing...

  • I hate people like you, have such a musically limited brain that they can't listen outside of KDWB. Go jack off to the Jonas Brothers asshole!

  • cover album artwork by LYDON, apparantly.......

  • I first heard this when I was 16 and totally didn't get it. Rediscovered it when I was in my late 20s and now I totally love it. Wobble's basslines are so fuckn out of it, they get stuck in my head for days. Lydon's a genius, I'd love to have a beer with him one day.

  • Think twice about that. He an egotistical maniac, He will hate you and tell you how much of a wanker you are. Stick to listening to his music. Maybe I'm prejudice because I asked him why he was so fat so he spit on me.

  • I bought this in '81, it really shook me up. It's a spooky-cool album that warped my judgement as well as the experimentations I was doing at the time. I am f****** Proud of how this album effected me, I am a person who actually listens to the world around me! Only the Beatles of the late 60's ever effected me this way. Thank God for Lydon, he put alot of things into perspective at a young age for me.

  • oh john, remember when you made music like... THAT! truly beautiful

  • A beautiful song from PIL. Simply majestic !

  • fucking awesome!!

wish i could have seen em. did see the pistols though!!

  • Low Life is my fave

  • This is cool , thanks for the posting. I love the delay on this.

  • Great album! A bit short though. Plus the French audience were just a bunch of posers.

  • the French are a bunch of fucking posers , period ... nevermind the "audience" lol

  • bought this album when it 1st came out and it is still my favorite live album and this is the best track

  • nice one! sounds trippy with the reverb. better than the original in fact!

  • wonderful stuff, thanks

  • Thanks a million for posting.

  • A masterpiece.

    Beyond all reasoning.

My heart aches and a drowsy numbness pains my sense.

  • Sweet Jesus!

    Thank you!
