Keith Levine's guitar always blows my mind in this song and add Jah Wobble on bass along w/John Lydon and this is a real kick ass song. Fucking brilliant. Still sounds great over 30 years later.

Had this album and CD, seen them live and the sound is still just fuckin fantastic, funny how the drummer never seemed to get much recognition for his relentless drive
this version of poptones and lowlife were rarely off my walkman (remember them?!) during the 80's, along with big black, birthday party, the fall, sisters, husker du and fugazi. fucking good times. thanks for the memories man. would give it 12 stars if i could. lydon was something special once. but now.....
This is an amazing album. PiL album was before my time, but John's solo career was it its '90s zenith and the record store had a copy of this on vinyl. I bought it, and went home to the basement, put it on the turn table, turned our massive speakers on, and dialed up on the bass. Seldom has anything sounded so good. I must've played it hours on end. GREAT upload. Thanks.
I first heard this when I was 16 and totally didn't get it. Rediscovered it when I was in my late 20s and now I totally love it. Wobble's basslines are so fuckn out of it, they get stuck in my head for days. Lydon's a genius, I'd love to have a beer with him one day.
Think twice about that. He an egotistical maniac, He will hate you and tell you how much of a wanker you are. Stick to listening to his music. Maybe I'm prejudice because I asked him why he was so fat so he spit on me.
I bought this in '81, it really shook me up. It's a spooky-cool album that warped my judgement as well as the experimentations I was doing at the time. I am f****** Proud of how this album effected me, I am a person who actually listens to the world around me! Only the Beatles of the late 60's ever effected me this way. Thank God for Lydon, he put alot of things into perspective at a young age for me.

My favourite version, in fact 'Chant' and 'Bad Baby' from this LP are better than the Metal Box versions.

This is exquisite. LOVE this version. Keith Levene's guitar work is in top form here! Absolutely hypnotic. Best of PiL!
