The President said what HAD to be said, to the justices present, to the Congress, and to the American people.

It should also be noted that he began his remark by saying "With all due deference to separation of powers".

Nonsensible - Where were you from 2007 - 2009? In Bush's last months in office the economy was losing 500,000 to 700,000 jobs each month! In Bush's last quarter there was negative growth in the GDP. The economy was tanking and tax cuts alone would have resulted in states/local gov't laying off millions of more workers. Instead, Obama's stimulus bill has 3 parts: 1/3 was the biggest taxt cut in US history, 1/3 went to the states to stabilize their budget, 1/3 went to capital projects.
