  • Did you konw that you are my teacher Andrew Miller's teacher?

  • God bless the cameraperson for not zooming in on his face like in so many other videos of string players.

  • I red somewhere that he is the master of the 5th tuning on bass and really he is a virtuoso, so expressive I can't belive it.

  • SSsssooo TRULY expressive!!!

  • Does any one have scores of this wonderful trascription for solo tuning and piano?!?

  • Joel Quarrington's playing is the bee's knees man. This is so technically masterful AND so beautiful.

  • Is this a 3/4 bass or a 4/4 bass?

  • Sounds amazing! I always wanted to try playing this on bass.

  • I was fortunate enough to hear this recital live...nice to revisit it. Thanks Joel cheers from Australia. David & Louis

  • For those who wish to know, Joel's bow is a Max Kasper bow with a Vienna style frog. Max plays principal bass for Symphony Nova Scotia. His bow is made of ironwood, that looks like carbon fiber from a distance, but is quite different.

  • In my opinion, and I mean no offense to anyone else, but JQ and Bozo Paradzik are simply the best players recorded players in the world today. They combine technical perfection with unmatched musicality. Perhaps BP leans to the technical side, and JQ the musical, but you aren't going to find two better players. I was lucky enough to here JQ perform his Garden Scene program at the ISB in 2007, and it was hands down the best recital of the week. Simply fantastic.

  • this is some hot sh*t... can you post more?
