the spin is obviously nice, but what sold this move was the tiny shot fake to the forehand. totally made price stutter, then freeze. stamkos could have glided to the backhand and still scored. the spin is just for style points.

nice but i have seen better. i think if he would have done it in one fluid motion it would have been prettier. i am not sure what the the exact rules are but i though if the puck and or the player stops forward momentum towards the goal and if the player hesitates the play is nullified. looked like he and the puck stopped to me

@TRSL1920 Yes. Someone hooked him as he was approaching the net with a reasonable chance of scoring. That means he gets a penalty shot.

When going at the net in a penalty shot, once he stops, the penalty shot is over. But there's a rule that says if he starts spinning before he stops, it's legal. So yes, it was a clean goal.

Those that think this isnt a goal should read the NHL rule book. The NHL rule actually specifically addresses the spin-o-rama: "The spin-o-rama type move where the player completes a 360° turn as he approaches the goal, shall be permitted as this involves continuous motion."
