  • im going to london in July for Wimbledon and have booked two shows. wicked (which ive seen before) and woman in black :) cant wait!

  • Anyone know who the actors are?

  • Must see it!

  • I went on a school trip to see this, ALL of us freaked out, even the boys!! This was soo amazing to see, its sooo scary but 5 star!!!

  • Seen this twice now and it never fails to scare me! Best show ever-hands down :D

  • This play was EPIC!! seen it twice want to go again! I want to see the movie version too!

  • I remember to see it, and if the rocking chair was bad enough, I think everyone who's seen it can agree that the scene with the closed door was just as bad...

  • I saw this with my drama class as well and we were told to make notes for our exam. I was too scared to make any notes and I left the theatre with bite marks on my note book from being so scared! Would definately recommend it!

  • One of my all-time favourite plays!

  • The best thing i've ever seen live

  • I saw this in london! Fantastic play and they played it so well. Really gave me the shivers! I'd see it again! Can't wait for the movie!

  • the older man in the video is Andrew Jarvis, amazing actor and a really nice guy. taught me at drama school for a while and still teaches i think.

  • all i can say is that the ghost is a bitch and she deserves to burn in hell and never show her twisted face to the rest of the world.which hopefully she does.

  • im going to see this with my gcse drama class looks good and a laugh is it true it scares people

  • I also saw this in the Fortune Theatre in London about a month ago for my drama GCSE; it was the scariest thing that I have ever seen. I cried, and jumped, and screamed. I was absolutely petrified at night so for the week after i slept with my light on. It was one of the most amazing pieces of theatre I have ever seen though, and as scary as it was, I would love to see it again. The actors were amazing, and it was just a great piece of theatre. I recommend you see it. :)

  • I saw this at the Fortune Theater last night, I didn't find it terrifying as such but it was extremely eerie and jumpy. The actors were amazing and at the end I felt like crying, I would recommend this anybody who'd listen.

  • This was such a brilliant production! So chilling, and really fascinating! I am looking forward to seeing if the film can be as good!

  • I saw this play at Nottingham Theatre Royal several years ago. Absolutely crapped myself. Kin ell, I had to sleep with the lights on for days after that. The film is very good too, especially when Kipp's delarious and the wicked woman in black comes flying accross his bedroom screaming like a friggin banshee. Cripes.

  • This theatre production is really good they used all the equipment to the best they could it was brilliant seeing all the comments i thought i was going to be really scared but when we got there ( we went with school) i wasn't scared i could see why it was scary but i wasn't getting scared infact i was laughing and at one point everyone went silent because they were scared and you could just hear me laughing really loudley if you like thissort of stuff this is well worth going to see! :')

  • I've seen this 3 times with 3 different girls.... They get so scared, they can't help but grab on to you..

Really I'm shitting my pants too but try to act cool. Sometimes I'm alone at home and her face comes into my head..... The bit where his torch isnt working and then when it does, it shines straight on her face.... Friggin hell man...

  • I'm going to watch this at Christmas please cud someone tell me wat happens I really wanna know

  • ok basically, It was bloddy freaky, I suspect a lot of other people who havn't seen it yet will read the comments on here and think that it's all hype and that a stage play can't be scary, all I can say is, the top two comments are the highest rated for a reason, bloody hell the image of that woman really sticks in your head I can't get rid of it! It's also great fun to watch the play too and I saw ghost stories the same day, and Woman In Black definately has a far more captivating story...

  • Seeing it on saturday, very curious to see how it turns out as the trailer doesnt seem very scary at all but I understand the trailer is extremely discreet, but from the comments I've read on here it should be pretty creepy :D

  • This is the scariest thing I've ever seen.

There's a bumping sound of a rocking chair (we don't know that yet) and he gets to the door handle when there is an extremely loud, blood-curling scream. I was almost crying.

I will definitely see the movie, though!

The stage adaption of the book is amazing. It is amazing but shit scary!

At the end the Woman runs out through the gauze and lifts her arms in the air and that was really bad, broke the fourth wall ^_^

    Getting goosebumps while writing this!

  • i saw it when i was in school and i still freak out when i hear anything that sounds like a rocking chair!!! everyone was holding hands by the end, even the tough guys!!

  • whats the name of the piano song?

  • Scariest experience I have ever had. This show is so scary, I doubt the film will beat it. The trailer might not make it look that scary but dear God you have no idea.

  • @ellzz1234 Looks like The movie did :P

  • I went to see it with my school last year, only two actors, a fog machine a little bit of sound effects and I was terrified, I was so close to crying I was that scared.

Seriously, these actors have got talent, you can hear/feel the terror and I've never experienced anything like it whilst watching a film on TV or at the cinemas. I'm so going to see it again the next time it's in Glasgow, and I'll probably be as scared as the first time XD

  • wheres harry potter?

  • @MochizMuM This is the trailer for the Theater production of it. Not the film.

  • Overated!!!! So scary??? Are you kidding me???

  • WTF??

  • Seems really good by the comments

  • I saw this last November and watching this again even on you tube i got scared!

  • i watched this with my school made me jump in places good production though for 3 actors

  • @MightyRCT3 well two actors ;) hint hint!! lol :P

  • Really enjoyed this at the Fortune Theater…well what i saw of it anyway, the rest of the time i had my head in my mates arm. SCARY, i still can't put my light on or off without being scared :'/

  • I watched the show and was shaking there violently and was sobbing because I was so scared. Even the boy next to be was crying and screaming. This is so much scarier than a horror movie could ever be, I reccomened it highly! UNLESS you have high blood pressure or something....

  • went and saw this live on a school trip 3 years ago i will never forget it

  • I so want to see this live (I saw a production of it here on youtube) but sadly I don't know when I'll ever go to the west end :(

  • I went to see it at the West End and I'm not kidding at the end of the play I was literally trembling all over. Incredible play! If anyone loves to be scared this is the play for you. x

  • the show was amazing. my drama group is using this story as our final piece:)

  • this show KICKS ASS!!!!

  • OK even this promo sends shivers down my spine - have seen this 6 times now aver the course of a few years and it never gets less scary or tired as a show. Highly recommended!

  • Me and my year group are going to see it next week, i'm reeally scared, anyone tell me what its like>? :S

  • @ChloeTheDramaQueen me and my school went and saw it today. some parts are scary. and theres qiute afew jumpy parts. some girl in front of me started crying. but overall its really good! ♥x

  • Best play I've ever been to, fo sho.

  • i leaped in my mums eyes and cried

  • Andrew P Stephen FTW

  • ive read the book, was amazing !!

  • I've seen this twice, it's absolutely fantastic.

  • There is a short story that's just come out that is so scary, people are going crazy! Very few people can even finish it, even though it's only two pages long.

    Follow me.

  • I saw it at the Fortune Theatre a couple of nights ago. Never again. I was sweating and have never been more scared in my entire life. Brilliant, the way '3' actors can bring it to life. Or were there 2 actors......

  • NO NO NO I HAVE SEEN THIS PLAY 2 TIMES AND EVERYTIME I CRY AT THE FEAR OF IT!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

  • Over the years I've gone to see this 4 times and , even though I know by now what to expect, it always scares the hell out of me.Read the book by Susan Hill, it's brilliant!

  • i went to see this with my school last night and it is one of the scariest things ive ever seen

  • one of the best plays that i have ever watched....

  • This is a fantastic show. Genuinely scarey. The bloke 2 rows infront of me screamed like a girl! Would DEFINITELY go again.

  • what music did you use for the video the woman in black?

  • i saw this and me, my mum and my sister were shitting ourselves. The one thing that scared me the most was the screaming through the speakers!!

  • hahaha i went to see this with my auntie and when the scream was play through the speakers the man behind us fell ou of his seat literaly loool

  • This ad does not advertise it well, I went to see it with school and it was amazing, a amazing experience. I would recommend it to any one but beware of the (screaming) woman in black :) All performed by two men and A Women In Black ! :D

  • Scariest thing I've ever seen.

  • SHITTING TERRIFYING

  • whats this play/movie actually about?

  • @VampireCrazyGirl

An old man approaches a young actor with a book he has written, and wishes it to become a play.

The book is about his experiences from years before when he's working as a lawyer/solicitor (something like that) and goes to take care of the affairs of a dead client - attend her funeral, collect her papers, etc.

He visits her home, Eel Marsh House, and senses a ghostly presence.

From there, it eventually ends in tragedy.

That is the story the two men re-enact.

  • I saw this with my mum, and i have to say, this is friggen scary as hell!!!

  • this is the scariest play i have ever seen if i'm honest!

at first i thought it was pretty pathetic, but i advise anyone who goes to see it to stay for the full show because it gets even scarier and better in the second half, i promise you.

  • im not even jocking this play is fuckin scary!!!

  • brilliant. if the movie is half as good a the play it'll be amazing.

  • I went to see this recently at The Nottingham theatre Royal. It was fantastic, and kept us on the edge of our seats! It was the first play I was introduced to, and hopefully will be the first of many.

  • This was one of the best plays i had been to!

  • One of my favourite plays! I remember the first time I went (it was the first time it was in Glasgow) the whole audience didn't believe we could get scared - but by the the interval we were terrified!
