PIV analysis of boundary layers is quite difficult due to unwanted laser light reflections. Did you use optical filters in combination with a fluorescent coated surface?
What is shown in the video would have too many reflections and not result in a good boundary layer profile (this was just the best way to get a video). Sometimes the filters and coatings work, but I've found for boundary layers that directing the laser sheet through a clear surface works well. Anything under the surface is then coated with a matte black finish. If the object is not flat and has a complicated geometry then usually good imaging is trial-and-error with all these techniques.
Sweet stuff dude but still i don't see how u compensated for all the reflections
