I can tell that your Dobers are very well socialized and that your kids are properly trained as well! They are so vicious of course. Just like mine! lol I just know they were about to jump up. lol
@mustangaddicted depends on what kind of dog they are when it comes to strangers. my cousin's dog would tear an intruder apart, but around family, she's a total sissy. now, my ex's Dobe was a lover with family, but if someone broke in, he would probably lick them to death. let's hope these 2 are protectors. ;)
My children grew up with dobermans, my daughter had her doberman book with her at all times and was constantly checking all the information on our dobermans pregnancy. They are excellent with children, very loving and protective. Congragulations on such a lovely family. Blessings to overflow.
Aww i hope your beautiful dog has nice healthy puppies. I don't want to scare either you or your kids, whom i say are very beautiful as well. But please be very careful the first few days after puppies are born. My sweet doberman unfortionatly turned into the mom that has to protect her babies at any cost. After a vet seen her, and i clean bill of health for her and all her babies, she calmed down. So please fallow all adivce from your vet.
@xthrowdownx06 I have been breeding for over 9 years, my kids know the do's and donts of breeding. Thank you so much for your wishes! we love all dobie lovers!
@MAGGZ214 Im very glad to hear that then. I hear and see way too often people who think they know what they are doing and end up getting hurt because they are wrong. Or they do something wrong and end up getting hurt. I hope you have wonderful beautiful puppies for all to share.
Beautiful dogs and beautiful girls! I am getting a fawn female Dobe in July, and while my husband and I own a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler she will be our first Dobe. Any words of wisdom for a new Dobeperson?
@blahtothe3rd my parents had a doberman when my older sister was younger. they said she was really protective and would be mean to people when they (my parents) wernt around even by fathers brother, very protective dogs. they loved her. just socalize the pup as you should with any dog. i've grown up with large dogs(rottweilers) and small dogs.
@blahtothe3rd Mine is SEVEN months old this week and goes with me EVERYWHERE and every person and EVEN ANIMAL he see's he wants to MEET and NOT EAT just wants to play with everyone. They put out as much love as they get and they're as smart as you make them! It truly is amazing mine was doing simple tricks with EASE at two to three months and was house broken in three weeks and I got him at 7 weeks old. HAVE A GREAT TIME WITH YOUR DOBY!!!
@donnap83 They're born with floppy ears, and the process of "cropping" makes them stand. There's a lot of controversy about cropping, and some countries have banned the practice. They claim that it's cruel to the animal and is purely for aesthetic purposes. Others will say that if the process is done by a skilled vet, it doesn't hurt or affect the animal. They'll also say it has a few hygienic and sound location benefits to the dog. The practice is currently legal in the US.
@emilyj1987 I honestly don't see how its considered "contraversial," really. We pierce babies ears, we allow our boys to have parts of their penis cut off without pain meds when they're just infants. Its excruciatingly painful to watch little boys go through that. Yet a pain-controlled minor ear clipping on a dog who has always traditionally been cropped is cruel?
I've never had an infection from cropping, yet LOST 3 animals to infection from mandatory spaying. So which one is cruel?
@DeadlyChinchilla You're wasting your time. Cropping is not for aesthetics it also contributes to the overall health of the animal. I'd rather crop ears than to have one of my dogs learn our property line by having half an ear torn off. I guess owning and caring for an animal and giving it a rich full life, is a crime to these peta wanna be's, and you know on the weekends I like to help my neighbor with his cows and chickens, and even after being kicked a couple times, the biggest crime
@ParkersPlaylist I like to call the healing process of cropping "The Field Goal" look. that's what it looked like on my cousin's Dobe's head; football uprights. lol
I just love this video, all of your family and all of the dobermanns sitting together like one big family, i have one Fawn dobe and she is lovely, i wish i could have like two more but my house is too small lol, beautiful dogs :)
gorgeous dogs! i was raised with two big male dobes and i remember seeing videos of myself with them like this! i plan on having 2 or 3 of them when i get my own place later on :) congrats on the puppies!

it is IMPERATIVE that with ANY breed of dog that you discern their temperament before allowing them to interact with anyone besides yourself...even the old reliable labarador can turn on a person or child. granted there are many statistics out there that tell you on the average which types are the "safest" but it's a bunch of bunk, ANY breed of dog can turn out to be a GREAT protector and companion for your family just take the time to really get to know the dog itself!
SCREAM!!! What a horrible parent you are!!! Don't you know how unpredictable children are? Sure they are all cute and cuddly now, but in a blink of an eye without warning they could seriously hurt your dobies.... ( shaking my head)
all joking aside cute family! They all seem happy, relaxed and well adjusted Awesome, and thanks for being a responsible parent and dog owner
My GF and I have a Red Doberman rescue. She was about six months old when we got her. My GF has had several Reds before her. She is a GREAT dog. Great with children, even infants. I agree with the comment above, that if you get a rescue, you need to do a dog class and really work at training the dog. This means establishing YOU as the ALPHA. This doesn't mean mistreating the dog, but knowing how to train and work with them. They are WONDERFUL but need to be loved and to feel secure.
@NOnameFTWW a dobe 4 a first time dog owner. depends on how much time u can spend with the dog. the pups r fun & they r high energy. but they need alot of attention and training early on. my dobe got alot of attention from my wife when i was at work and then i would get home and spend time with her. but im deployed now, and my wife is trying to juggle a toddler and 3 dogs (2shitzus 1 doberman) so my dobe(like most dobes) became disobediant because of lack of contant training and interaction.
@sillver0100 no, just love the breed.. and once you get one dobe you always want more. and hey if you can afford the food.. and love them they way they need to be loved, then go for it!
your dobermans look amazing!! What are some of the things to look out for when owning a doberman for first time dog owners? I'm trying to look up information about the dogs before actually getting one. Do they shed a lot?
we have a 7 month old Dobie called Amber, she is really hard work at the minute but we love having her. I loved your video with your 2 little girls and would live mine to behave like that. I also have 2 little girls aged 5 and 3 and at the minute Amber keeps jumping on the girls and other people and knocking them flying, do you have any tips?
yep a truely vicious dog that can not be trusted lol like my brothers "dangerous" breed (bull mastif cross) that feels quilty after catching a fly... a dog is only as bad as its owner makes it.
judging from how lazy these guys are being, one can only imagine how much running and playing went on earlier in the day! ;~) I have a dobie and i know. she needs to run about fifty miles before she gets tired!! haha
Check my dobies search weatherby37329 I have two one is three years his name is nitro and the other one is about six months I am still working on his ears his name is tripp
@RodStewartfan1 No I wish.. i had 6 at this time and I got into a lot of health issues and had to place all of my babies.. However I now have 3 new pups almost 1 year old now.
I LUV Dobermans!! They're such sweet good dogs! We had a Doberman named Dobie from Dec 2000 - June 2009. He was such a good boy!! I miss him so much!!
its supposed to b scarcasm..bc the media always portreys these types of dogs as voilent, same as pitbulls and rocs, when in fact most of them arent all that vicious, the worst thing one of them did was lick her leg or face
K, maybe a ? would have made it more understandable that it wasnt what I was looking for, do you have some idea on where I could find good information about temperment, proper nutrion, and care etc, Id really like my own dobermann and one has come up at the local animal rescue centre after it was abused as a puppy, its 11months old and Id like to change its unfortunate life, but want make sure Im educated about them and able to give it him all that he requires, Ive never had a dog before either
@JestaZX6R I would suggest not getting a rescue if you have never had a dog before.. Dobermans are very human like. Once abused. they never forget. it would take you a very long time to train the pup the way it should be and get the pup to trust you again, If you had knowledge of the breed id say go for it. Doing a rescue is a very kind thing I can understand your concern.
@JestaZX6R However, About the video.. Maybe you cant find any "Real Videos" of them attacking becuase its very rare.. If you do not train your dobermans correctly they can get frustrated as any dog. If I were you id start out with a clean slate.
We rescued Roxy the red/rust doberman femele in the video.. it took her almost 2 1/2 years to be comfortable around adults.. it takes a lot of time and effort to undue what some Mean past owners did.

@JestaZX6R There are many books and videos on The doberman breed. If you would like I could fill you in on whatever you needed.from training, feeding, groming, and their temperments. I have for all my clients. as well as for people that bought from other breeders and had bad experiances..
@JestaZX6R I am always here to help! I love this breed.. My aunt raised them for over 30 years. with me by her side.after her passing I took over. With everything I learned from her and my own studies. I believe that Dobermans are the best breed out there!

I believe that some Euro dobe's aren't necissarily meant to be "family" dogs. They have such a high prey drive. I've had dobermans all my life, was raised with them, etc. but they were all American bloodline dobermans. The first Euro doberman, who I must say was the most beautiful I've ever seen seriously!!!!, I drove 9 hours one way to return her to the breeder. The problems that I had are a laundry list. :-(
Really must not have been the breed .. must have been the breeder, The large male in the video is Euro.. from a wonderful Euro breeder~ be carful who you buy from.
Also Most breeders just breed and breed and breed, And dont care about the pups or the parents, Just money! I am 1 Of the very few who love the pups from the day they are born. All inside my home until the day they leave! that makes a huge difference!
My boy Rudy (2 yrs.) watched this video mesmerized. He's the only Dobie I've had in 30 years that watches tv and barks to it! I have to tell him "Hush, it's dog on tv" and he usually quiets down. But show him a video of a Doberman and he goes nuts! I know he knows it's his breed. Those 5 dogs on this video are delightful! I want to lie on the floor with them!
By not letting them around children you are creating a really bad situation. Any dog will bite a child or worse because they will look at the child as an omega part of the pack & want the child to act as such. Might be too late now but maybe not if you were careful.
My 10 month old daughter would walk over and fall on my dobie, the first time he raised his head and looked at her and after that he would just let her do it. I wish I had movies of because she would laugh. He was quite a dog.
Now for the horror story. A friend had a pit that they raised from a pup. After the baby was born they wouldn't let the dog in the house. Baby laying on blanket on floor. Fenced yard all the way around the house. A person came to the door; wife answers it, loses her concentration and the pit sneeked in walked over the baby grabbed it by the head and shook. That was it. SAD! Jealous dog. I introduce my dogs right away at an early age to children. They learn. Peace.
I love the uncropped ears! Our blue dobie has the natural ears, but the one we got from the shelter has the cropped ears. Yeah, dobies are so vicious...especially when protecting their couch or bed.
I can tell that your Dobers are very well socialized and that your kids are properly trained as well! They are so vicious of course. Just like mine! lol I just know they were about to jump up. lol

we have a 7 month old Dobie called Amber, she is really hard work at the minute but we love having her.

I would be in heaven if I were amidst all those Dobermans!

judging from how lazy these guys are being, one can only imagine how much running and playing went on earlier in the day! ;~) I have a dobie and i know. she needs to run about fifty miles before she gets tired!! haha

I dont see how the title has any relevance to the video, there not at all vicious and theyre not attacking anything.
Cheeseweasel1999 2 years ago
its supposed to b scarcasm..bc the media always portreys these types of dogs as voilent, same as pitbulls and rocs, when in fact most of them arent all that vicious, the worst thing one of them did was lick her leg or face

@ttyngordon
Well Put!
That was the point to show people that give dobermans a bad name. That not all dobermans are bad or vicious. Its all in how they are raised.

JestaZX6R 2 years ago
@JestaZX6R I would suggest not getting a rescue if you have never had a dog before.. Dobermans are very human like. Once abused. they never forget. it would take you a very long time to train the pup the way it should be and get the pup to trust you again, If you had knowledge of the breed id say go for it. Doing a rescue is a very kind thing I can understand your concern.
MAGGZ214 1 year ago

MAGGZ214 1 year ago

sirrrowan 2 years ago
Really must not have been the breed .. must have been the breeder, The large male in the video is Euro.. from a wonderful Euro breeder~ be carful who you buy from.
MAGGZ214 2 years ago

I want to lie on the floor with them!

room full of dobermans this kicks ass!!!!
they mut be sadeted or somthing!
i have 2 rottwillers and i feed them well, yet i would never let them around children.
supermacs1 2 years ago
Nope, Just very well trained. Since pups they have been very gentle around my girls. as well as kids at the bus stop. 80)
MAGGZ214 2 years ago
By not letting them around children you are creating a really bad situation. Any dog will bite a child or worse because they will look at the child as an omega part of the pack & want the child to act as such. Might be too late now but maybe not if you were careful.
My 10 month old daughter would walk over and fall on my dobie, the first time he raised his head and looked at her and after that he would just let her do it. I wish I had movies of because she would laugh. He was quite a dog.
ElShadaiLives 2 years ago

Haa,, Tell me about it!! They all have spots in the house,, lol!

I lost a king-sized bed to them. It's amazing that for such a slender dog, they can spread out to cover the WHOLE bed.
