@fuckingsob I thought I was the only one who thought that. There is something about that short wheel base that makes it so attractive. Not to mention all the chrome.
According to my research, isnt the Super Pete monster truck chassis infact the Rolling Vengeance monster truck chassis used in the 1987 movie? Can anyone correct this?
it had more then enoght power it was the short wheelbase to the extramly huge wheels and so narrow if he had changed the 73's out with a set of 66' he would have no problem
Hey everyone....I used to be in the same 4x4 club as this truck. We were the Motorcity Mudders 4x4 Club. This truck started out being called "High on the Hawgs". It then sported 44" Ground Hawgs. Then in around 1985ish it was transformed into showtime. Brian was a body man at a a local shop in Fraser, Mich. That were all the work was done. Brings back great memories seeing this video. What a bitch to mount 73" firestones..It would take 6 of us an hour to do it.
that's awesome! I have had the opportunity to help take the tires off of a few modern trucks but they were the standard 66 inches, I can't imagine how much work it would take getting showtime ready for a show. Thanks for the comment that's awesome news to hear!
Superpete rocks! If I had the cash, I would build a replica of this truck! Bouncin around with no front suspension and hoping the truck stays upright!
he wouldn't pass tech in todays racing because now they have fiberglass bodies, tube chassis, cages and other safety regulations that this truck from 1987 won't make today =-( don't get me wrong i would love to see a new super pete come back and get some revenge on team digger!
Nope...this is the "lost" show with the Bearfoot roll over, Leadfoot losing the wheel, Awesome Kong II, Monster Mash, Fly-N-Hi, etc. Could the owner of this clip PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (did I mention PLEASE) contact me, as I would like to get my hands on this footage. Thank you!
Showtimes was one of the best looking trucks of all.

I'm no expert, but it almost seemed like Showtime hurt his transmission when he was trying to get up the first set of cars.

Showtime looked great but with an ultra short wheelbase and huge 73inch tyres, is it any wonder it got stuck!
