I have a question. Why am I not granted two basic things that I ask for- all I want is equal opportunity and to be able to think clearly, to not have to suffer with such headaches. I want to go to college and I would like to not worry about being deported or not being allowed the rights that others get. This and many other things are the reason why I never go to church and do not believe in "god" as much as I used to when I was a child. I just want to wake up happy every morning and learn.

@Mirewood If I was really gonna take this a step further, you can't even know what happened in the past without assuming uniformity. "Oh I remember the past though". Your memory presupposes the the laws of nature are constant over time, because your memory works on chemical reactions. If chemistry and physics were changing, you couldn't trust your memory. So unless there's already BEEN uniformity in the past, you have no reason to believe that you correctly REMEMBER that there's been uniformity

But that's irrelevant to the future, unless you already knew that the future was like the past. So to state that would be committing a circular argument. Sure they'll assume it, but they have no basis for it in principle... yet every single thing you do, presupposes the uniformity of nature. You don't walk outside and expect gravity to stop working. In the Christian worldview, this makes perfect sense, because God has told us that he will uphold the universe in a consistent fashion for our benefit. But in a random chance universe, why would this be?
Operational science requires the presupposition of the uniformity of nature. Science studies predictability. If you do a test under certain conditions on Monday, and do the exact same test on Friday then you would expect to get the same result. The Laws of nature are consistent over time and space. The future is like the past in this respect. Everybody knows this. But you see, without the Biblical God... we would have no reason to believe this. None whatsoever.
The probability that another Earth exists is almost 100%, we're not unique here. There are billions and billions of other galaxies out there, each with billions of stars.

Naturalistic worldviews have to make completely baseless assumptions about any "bones" that are found.

You should watch on youtube Mary K Baxter (spoke at a church in chicago about her experiences of Hell). She near the beginning said that the Passion of The Christ where Jesus suffered greatly doesnt compare to what God gave her a visions of several years ago. In the vision she saw she explained Jesus looked worse than what was shown in the film. He wasn't recognizable for he was blue black & deformed, & he was covered in a Pool of Blood covering him & the floor). Thought to share this with you.

I have a question. Why am I not granted two basic things that I ask for- all I want is equal opportunity and to be able to think clearly, to not have to suffer with such headaches. I want to go to college and I would like to not worry about being deported or not being allowed the rights that others get. This and many other things are the reason why I never go to church and do not believe in "god" as much as I used to when I was a child. I just want to wake up happy every morning and learn.

On our psychological level we are no trouble to the Lucyfer at all as he has a lot of experience in deceiving us, few thousands years... Just call on the Lord and read His Word.

Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline". When the Bible uses the term "fool" here, it's not engaging in name-calling. It's referring to someone who's actually very bright and intelligent, but refuses to use his or her intellect in the way that God has intended.

Science conducted by "Theists" is passed off as pseudo-science, and content is heavily biased against creationists. However, what I would think is that at the time when Buddhism was popular, people started not to believe in gods. Praising and praying to their gods were fruitless. Muslim people believe in marrying more than one wife -- so multiplying children are very fast. Buddhism takes longer time to spread out than Christianity -- which the truth at that time was very evident.
Buddhism believes mainly on doing good things and having a peaceful mind. It's the practice that is very common to everyone. And they do not believe in gods -- but in people. They continue to praise people and man-made statues.

Your memory presupposes the the laws of nature are constant over time, because your memory works on chemical reactions. If chemistry and physics were changing, you couldn't trust your memory. So unless there's already BEEN uniformity in the past, you have no reason to believe that you correctly REMEMBER that there's been uniformity

God declares the end from the beginning, and he has revealed some things to us through his word. An evolutionist has no reason on his own worldview to assume that the future is like the past.

In the Christian worldview, this makes perfect sense, because God has told us that he will uphold the universe in a consistent fashion for our benefit. But in a random chance universe, why would this be?

@Mirewood Okay, I'll prove it.
Operational science requires the presupposition of the uniformity of nature. Science studies predictability. If you do a test under certain conditions on Monday, and do the exact same test on Friday then you would expect to get the same result. The Laws of nature are consistent over time and space. The future is like the past in this respect. Everybody knows this. But you see, without the Biblical God... we would have no reason to believe this. None whatsoever.

The probability that another Earth exists is almost 100%, we're not unique here. There are billions and billions of other galaxies out there, each with billions of stars.

Yall....god loves you no matter what...y fight what other ppl believe in thats y god gave us freedom of choice to believe in or do what ever we want because he wants us to chosse him over the world....the bible is a love story...about how a part of god was taken and cruely beaten crucified for all of us so we can CHOOSE to have eternal life with him i consider that a blessing...y fight...love one another

If the belief is already the truth, then it shouldn't be rejected. Science evolves. But some theories continue to be the same -- and that becomes their beliefs-- believing their own assumptions. Dude. I like learning science, too. It's fun! But the more I explore them, the more I know and see how it points to the fact that God is real.

@87soccerref Here's a little analogy for you that makes just a LITTLE BIT MORE SENSE than your magical creation theory. Your body decomposes and breaks down into elementary particles, the particles blow around in the wind until they clump together to form something else like a blade of grass. This is exactly how the universe works. Stars form when clumps of dust and gas bundle together until the clump gets big enough that gravity can no longer contain it, nuclear fusion occurs...

...Hydrogen combines to form helium, other elements combine to form heavier elements. The star explodes and even heavier elements are formed. Eventually these elements land on a planet like Earth, amino acids form and you get life! It's not a miracle! Statistically there are other planets like ours, Earth and everything in it is not unique. Even though Jesus and your mom may have thought so, you're not special!

I know, it's a hard pill to swallow. But once it's down and the fear of God has left you, life gets different. You realize that this is it, once you're dead there's nothing else. And your life and all your decisions are made with that knowledge. Science is the answer to all life's questions. Religion is an easy cop-out and an insult to human intelligence. Only once we break free from it, and embrace science and logical reasoning, will we succeed as a species.

@thedigitalbastard Ha! I like your logical reasoning. I thought through that as well. But think of this. Science is based on observations. Therefore, Scientists are like great detectives, where they conclude through pure observations. But even detectives would fail when it comes to proving how the earth and humans were created.

@thedigitalbastard Now let me give you one example. A man was stabbed by the murderer without anyone seeing the situation. The criminal left the scene when the detective came in. His first observation was the knife and the stabbed wound of the victim. But the smart detective thought thru, and did not think just yet that the guy was murdered. The detective saw a pill prescribed for a heart attack in the victim's pocket. The gesture of the victim said that before he died, he was in pain.

I know that this is a strange example. But there are just so many things we can conclude through observations. And through observations, scientists make theories. Through theories, they believe that there is no God. In fact, the scientists believe their theories so much that it has now become their Religion -- a man-made religion.

@Mirewood Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Please, if I'm wrong... then what reason DO you have to think that your senses or your memory are reliable? I haven't even started elaborating on the uniformity of nature, yet.
I don't need to learn anything from something that I already know is false. Science is only possible if the Biblical God exists. That's the irony that you refuse to recognise.

@Mirewood Here's something you really need to know. "Evidence" must be interpreted. Science relies on evidence. How is evidence interpreted? Through your worldview and presuppositions, which are by definition, untested by natural science.
If there is no God, and this is just a random chance universe, what reason could you possibly have to believe that your senses are even reliable so that you could conduct scientific experiments? Exactly. None.

@Mirewood Yes, world-views are complex, but saying "evolutionary worldview" or "naturalistic worldview" is not simplifying them, because those words encompass a lot more.
Why would I want to hear about a paradox, when I already know that without the Biblical God, you can't account for Laws of Logic or the Uniformity of Nature? Without those, it's impossible to prove anything.

@Mirewood Besides, C14 found in diamonds proves that the earth is less than 50,000 years old. That's TRUE scientific evidence that can scientifically tested. Abiogenesis is a joke. Scientists have been trying for quite some time to make it happen under controlled conditions and have failed every time, yet they honestly believe it happened "on it's own" in a hostile environment. That's just sad to be honest. Life cannot come from non-life. We only ever observe life coming from life.

@Mirewood To say that "life evolved from a single celled organism" is a fact, is clearly false. Can it be proven? Of course not. The scientific method cannot be applied to it... it can't be observed, tested or repeated. Nor has it EVER been witnessed. To say "bones prove that we evolved" is pointless. It's nothing more than an arbitrary assertion. Naturalistic biologists have to place their own biased presuppositions on subjects to make "evidence" into something it's not.

@Mirewood Many biologists actually believe the opposite. There is no evidence for evolution whatsoever. Evolution has never been observed (and adaptation to a subject's environment is not evolution). Historical evidence? You mean the bones of "dinosaurs" that have been carbon dated to live under 50,000 years ago? This is contrary to what's being taught in schools. Naturalistic worldviews have to make completely baseless assumptions about any "bones" that are found.
