@FrightenedFart I agree about the GT part, but Gohan needed some time off the action. He was getting severely OP'd, and I was getting tired of seeing him and Goku steal the airtime.
Needed more action with the kids, Piccolo and Vegeta.
@SSDZReturns Gohan, Vegeta and Piccolo were just about the only likeable characters in the series. Goku was too stupid to live and the others all became irrelevent after Frieza. Eventually got to the point where if you weren't Goku you might as well not be in the show.
I don't get why Toriyama would spend that much time building a character that grew with the series and then leave him behind almost completely because the fanbase threw a tantrum over Goku not being the strongest.

Nah Goku becoming Super Saiyan for the first time was the best part, because it the first time ever that we saw a Super Saiyan in DBZ. Also Goku wanted Gohan to be able to protect the earth by himself, which is why he rather wanted to train Gohan instead of training just for himself.
@ZeroReaper42 In my opinion when Frieza arrived to earth he wasn't really a MAIN villain more like introductory to bigger problem which trunks informed of like the andriods. But then again Frieza was a main villain was defeated by goku so in that sense why not? In example what I mean that like saying zarbon is main villain. (long yes I know lol)

I don't think SSJ3 is a stronger form than Gohan at his "mystic" level. For one, when SSj3 Gotenks was fighting Buu, SSJ3 was not overly more powerful than Buu, and they were fighting pretty much on even ground, I doubt SSJ3 Gotenks could have beat Buu at that point, and I beither could Goky IMO. However, when Gohan arrived after Gotenks defused, he plays around with Buu and makes him look like a child.Buu goes all out and blows himself up and still failes to harm Gohan, Mystic gohan is stronger
@warspy001122 Goky* my bad, and btw...SSJ3 I doubt could have beat Kid Buu even if "fully" charged. Buu's regenerative powers were too powerful at that time for SSJ3 to beat, clashes here and there with Buu and SSJ3 Goku show me that Buu was always stronger, and it took the combined efforts of many fighters and warriors to defeat Buu with Goku as the spearhead, but Mystic Gohan I believe would have beat him by himself if he had tried

And besides, all Gohan needs is a signature attack, and there's nothing saying he can't learn how to use the spirit bomb, I'm sure Gohan is stronger than SSJ3 though, they had to give him SOMETHINg, too bad he was pretty much useless in GT
@TheAndredal Nah , they have to be pure-blooded with a tail. Look at Pan( I know, its GT), but still, she couldnt transform to even ssj because her blood was too diluted and she was 1/4 saiyan. Lets forget the fact that Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. could do it even though they were 1/16 saiyan. Only pure blooded saiyans that reach their Golden Ape form and are able to control it and have full subconsciousness over their primal mind are able to do it.

I think if he would have had Goku's attitude towards training and fighting all those years between the Cell saga and the Buu saga, he would have undoubtedly been the strongest saiyan. BUT he doesnt like to fight or train and turns into a nerd, but still it's fun to just predict how things would have been if that had happend.

Gohan was stronger than super saiyan 3 goku and gotenks as an adult once old kai unlocks his true power. Put everything together it's plain obvious. Gohan was the strongest fighter at the end of DBZ once Kid Buu was killed. I don't know where the "mystic" came from that people use so much but he was strong as hell but Buu acted like he blew himself up and trunks and goten were idiots as well as piccolo for being fooled. Gohan said plenty that it was his fight now. Buu was scared of him

Yeah Goku wasn't strong enough to beat him one on one. Look at the deperate struggle to beat Buu. They needed wishes just to create a big spirit bomb from every earthling on the planet. And it's Ultimate Gohan btw but he should have been out there fighting along side his father. Vegeta was just an embarrassment. Although his plan was brilliant.

This is Gohan's adult theme when he's training withe the Z sword and becomes "mystic gohan" which I don't even know if that name is just made up. Gohan's ssj2 theme is a mix with others. Watch the episodes and see for yourself. The first song played when he powers up for ss2 is the same song played when goku finishes his ss3 transformation. Someone tell me if I'm right or wrong. Even though I'm sure I'm right -_- how did people get so confused??
Actually, since Gohan is a half-saiyan-half-human hybrid, his saiyan abilities of ruthlessness and their love for fighting are blocked by a huge shitwall of human emotions, and the only way to unlock it is to push Gohan past emotional limitations, and since Gohan has a love for life, he wants to protect it, so he lets go of his "human" side, sorta like Jekyll and Hyde.
@TheCash21011x He became indifferent to fighting, he lived in peace for 7 straight years, unlike when he was growing up, he was constantly in danger, Raditz, Namek, Garlic Jr. and then Cell. Then for 7 years, he no longer had any need for that power. So when it was the Buu saga, he could unlock it, but he was entirely different, his whole attitude changed, so was his desire to fight. When he fought Dabura, he seemed a bit cocky, not when he was a kid. But hey, thats part of growing up, lol

It seems, consistently, that Gohan has always had the greatest "potential" of all the z-fighters. for example, once old kai unlocks his mystic form, gohan has more sheer power and energy than Goku in his super saiyan 3 form, though he lacks the experience and fighting instinct. In the DBZ storyline (not counting GT, I do not consider it canon, simply because it is not by the same author and officially stated to be an alternate, possible future)
@Abasidaudi93 gohan is the most powerful character in the series, non-fused, of course. gogeta and vegito would wipe the floor with anyone (course, gogeta aint canon either). That's why I find Gohan so intriguing. He's immensely dangerous, and those who deliberately make an enemy of him die (i.e. broly, cell, buu {though not all by his own hand}) . they do die, and gohan is always a contributor, but he's a frickin person, not a killer. he's just a warrior with a heart.
@DarkHerring69 not necessarily, all of his powers come from saiyan blood, that is what caused the transformations in the first place, he just didn't have saiyan attributes, Gohan was peaceful, but when transformed, his saiyan attributes come into play while his human side is kind of sitting in the sidelines. Just as when Goku first transformed against Frieza and he wanted Frieza to reach full potential, same thing with Gohan, brutality, as when he "played" with cell.

@gethsoftware I've always felt that adult Goku had a wisdom to him, a quite, humble, unassuming wisdom that made him more perceptive than the average person. Actually, I feel that Goku was always more perceptive than most, just about the things that were important to him. Gohan had some of that wisdom, but tempered by more knowledge. I don't think either one is better, they're just different.
@KrimHyu it goes withoiut saying that that is what Akira wanted. The whole show before the Buu saga he was building Gohan's power to be this amazing thing. We finally see it against Cell and then never again. I guess you could count mystic if you wanted too.

@GhostDrow But don't forget, Goku bumped his head while he was little and got calm, even Grandpa Gohan stated in the Dragon Ball series that Goku was too wild until he suffered that hit, and again in the DBZ series, but still maintained his will for fighting. And in Dragon Ball, it was more of real martial arts than Sci-FI. So Goku was considered a skilled martial artists, and you're right about the fear that Gohan had, but that is still in the section of emotions. You can feel afraid.

I don't think SSJ3 is a stronger form than Gohan at his "mystic" level. For one, when SSj3 Gotenks was fighting Buu, SSJ3 was not overly more powerful than Buu, and they were fighting pretty much on even ground, I doubt SSJ3 Gotenks could have beat Buu at that point, and I beither could Goky IMO. However, when Gohan arrived after Gotenks defused, he plays around with Buu and makes him look like a child.Buu goes all out and blows himself up and still failes to harm Gohan, Mystic gohan is stronger

@warspy001122 Goky* my bad, and btw...SSJ3 I doubt could have beat Kid Buu even if "fully" charged. Buu's regenerative powers were too powerful at that time for SSJ3 to beat, clashes here and there with Buu and SSJ3 Goku show me that Buu was always stronger, and it took the combined efforts of many fighters and warriors to defeat Buu with Goku as the spearhead, but Mystic Gohan I believe would have beat him by himself if he had tried

@mainkilla No, but at the same time, Goku requires a lot of time to build that spirit bomb, there hasn't been one time where out of nowhere the Spirit Bomb just pops up in his hand you know? And besides, all Gohan needs is a signature attack, and there's nothing saying he can't learn how to use the spirit bomb, I'm sure Gohan is stronger than SSJ3 though, they had to give him SOMETHINg, too bad he was pretty much useless in GT

@TheAndredal Nah , they have to be pure-blooded with a tail. Look at Pan( I know, its GT), but still, she couldnt transform to even ssj because her blood was too diluted and she was 1/4 saiyan. Lets forget the fact that Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. could do it even though they were 1/16 saiyan. Only pure blooded saiyans that reach their Golden Ape form and are able to control it and have full subconsciousness over their primal mind are able to do it.

@WillPk4FOOD Yes but you've also got to take into consideration "IF" he was as determined as his father at training and becoming stronger what he would have been capable of. I think if he would have had Goku's attitude towards training and fighting all those years between the Cell saga and the Buu saga, he would have undoubtedly been the strongest saiyan. BUT he doesnt like to fight or train and turns into a nerd, but still it's fun to just predict how things would have been if that had happend.

Gohan was stronger than super saiyan 3 goku and gotenks as an adult once old kai unlocks his true power. Put everything together it's plain obvious. Gohan was the strongest fighter at the end of DBZ once Kid Buu was killed. I don't know where the "mystic" came from that people use so much but he was strong as hell but Buu acted like he blew himself up and trunks and goten were idiots as well as piccolo for being fooled. Gohan said plenty that it was his fight now. Buu was scared of him

Yeah Goku wasn't strong enough to beat him one on one. Look at the deperate struggle to beat Buu. They needed wishes just to create a big spirit bomb from every earthling on the planet. And it's Ultimate Gohan btw but he should have been out there fighting along side his father. Vegeta was just an embarrassment. Although his plan was brilliant.

This is Gohan's adult theme when he's training withe the Z sword and becomes "mystic gohan" which I don't even know if that name is just made up. Gohan's ssj2 theme is a mix with others. Watch the episodes and see for yourself. The first song played when he powers up for ss2 is the same song played when goku finishes his ss3 transformation. Someone tell me if I'm right or wrong. Even though I'm sure I'm right -_- how did people get so confused??

Actually, since Gohan is a half-saiyan-half-human hybrid, his saiyan abilities of ruthlessness and their love for fighting are blocked by a huge shitwall of human emotions, and the only way to unlock it is to push Gohan past emotional limitations, and since Gohan has a love for life, he wants to protect it, so he lets go of his "human" side, sorta like Jekyll and Hyde.

@TheCash21011x He became indifferent to fighting, he lived in peace for 7 straight years, unlike when he was growing up, he was constantly in danger, Raditz, Namek, Garlic Jr. and then Cell. Then for 7 years, he no longer had any need for that power. So when it was the Buu saga, he could unlock it, but he was entirely different, his whole attitude changed, so was his desire to fight. When he fought Dabura, he seemed a bit cocky, not when he was a kid. But hey, thats part of growing up, lol

It seems, consistently, that Gohan has always had the greatest "potential" of all the z-fighters. for example, once old kai unlocks his mystic form, gohan has more sheer power and energy than Goku in his super saiyan 3 form, though he lacks the experience and fighting instinct. In the DBZ storyline (not counting GT, I do not consider it canon, simply because it is not by the same author and officially stated to be an alternate, possible future)

That's why I find Gohan so intriguing. He's immensely dangerous, and those who deliberately make an enemy of him die (i.e. broly, cell, buu {though not all by his own hand}) . they do die, and gohan is always a contributor, but he's a frickin person, not a killer. he's just a warrior with a heart.

@DarkHerring69 not necessarily, all of his powers come from saiyan blood, that is what caused the transformations in the first place, he just didn't have saiyan attributes, Gohan was peaceful, but when transformed, his saiyan attributes come into play while his human side is kind of sitting in the sidelines. Just as when Goku first transformed against Frieza and he wanted Frieza to reach full potential, same thing with Gohan, brutality, as when he "played" with cell.

@gethsoftware I've always felt that adult Goku had a wisdom to him, a quite, humble, unassuming wisdom that made him more perceptive than the average person. Actually, I feel that Goku was always more perceptive than most, just about the things that were important to him. Gohan had some of that wisdom, but tempered by more knowledge. I don't think either one is better, they're just different.

@GhostDrow But don't forget, Goku bumped his head while he was little and got calm, even Grandpa Gohan stated in the Dragon Ball series that Goku was too wild until he suffered that hit, and again in the DBZ series, but still maintained his will for fighting. And in Dragon Ball, it was more of real martial arts than Sci-FI. So Goku was considered a skilled martial artists, and you're right about the fear that Gohan had, but that is still in the section of emotions. You can feel afraid.
