Blue wall with the right lighting (side window with natural lighting will never do) can easily make for a blue-screen, which can then be replaced by any background picture or color. Consequently, the dark/blue suit must go. A short script written beforehand might help with the fluency of speech a great deal and prevent nonsense words & phrases like "you see", "hah" , "you know etc.

Bottom line, nice and humble personality (like your friend's and yours) beats up any lighting tip. Thumbs up.
