What made this really eerie, was how if you went up to some of the coffins, you could hear someone inside kickinga nd screaming to be let free. Really added to the level's atmosphere.

Yes indeed but it was more like it was ironically comedic to me since it was both funny and ironic but you are right though and the music is also very fitting to the title of the stage as well. :)

I still remember how the first time I heard someone inside the coffin thumping and wailing, I did a knee-jerk and threw a few swords and a potion at the coffin, hoping to break it and set free whatever hapless soul was stuck inside.

I guess I was kind of immersed in the game by that point. :-/
