Many of your pictures are like mine from my 3300 mile motorcycle trip two summers ago. I took my girlfriend from our home of Portland through Idaho, Glacier, Sturgis SD, Yellowstone and back through Southeastern Oregon to home.
When we got back to Portland my girlfriend said "I loved this experience so much, I think we should make a lifestyle of this........so I married her.
We're making plans for our second trip this summer on a new bike.
Awww I was so mesmerized by the pictures and then it all ended so fast....and I was like hey man who turned out the lights!!! Awesome pics man great job!...although Coldplay x 2 was a little long...I hope your adventure was all and more than you expected. Thanks for sharing. An inspiration!
I wanna do this as well, I am 16 how much should I take? I wanna go from Miami(where I live) to NYC and from there to LA. God bless and yes I wanna take scenic routes.
Not much. Gas was around 3 bucks a gallon. If you read down the comments you'll see I figured out that cost. I camped every night except for a few nights only. Camping was any where from $10 - 20, so figure that out. I could have camped for free all I would have had to do is pull behind a post office, or abandoned gas stations (a LOT of those). Do not let money stop you. I guarantee you if you go for long enough ( at least a month) it will change you life for the better. Good Luck!
Visited your website but don't see anything in there? Great video! I am planning to ride from Key West FL to Deadhorse AK in 2015 and will stop by Sturgis S.D. for bike week on my way back to home. I did NC to Albuquerque and back in 3 weeks last August.
Great pics. I did the trip from Calif to NC and back. Also made it to wade in the Atlantic. This was 1 1/2 years ago. Can't wait to go again. I still love the local Nor Cal rides, but the big ride is ALWAYS calling me back !! You helped me re-live so much of it. Good job taking the back roads.
Well, I have 200 pages written. But you may not like it - it's both about the trip (planning, packing, places, etc) and what I thought about,. Dude - you can't ride a motorcycle 10,000 miles and not get philosophical!
@TheBrekGroup god damn man must have been like a 12k trip
i gotta electra glide but im 16 and never rode a bike that big and idk how touchy they are or what i wanna ride it so bad i know i cant pick it up after dropping it my gpa died year ago and its sitting hear i wash it and start ot but to god damn scared to take it around hahaha it has 15'' bars true dual straight pipes a radio and its got one of those big thick soft seats but im afraid to drop it hahaha its a 1989 e glide yea what do i do
I would never recommend learning how to ride on an ElectraGlide. Ive been riding for for about 40 years and I started on a 70, then a 100, then, 450, then 650, then 1100, then to a Harley. Most people can pick up a harley if it tips over, but there is a special way to do it. Search for that on Google or YouTube.
@TheBrekGroup yea see i didnt think it would go well if i tried it out hahaha ive had if tip slowly once but never even scratched it haha but i wanna try it so bad its fo fuckin cool though my mom hates it and my friends call me a fag when i dont get on er they all have shitrockets under 500cc and this things bored or whatever out to 1540cc i think and its scares me shitless just sitting on it so what should do?
Hi, I'm working on getting some of the images up on my web site, as well as finishing the book about the trip that does have the pictures in it - is that something you think people would be interested in?
great trip, ive been doing a few short camping trips but as im from England, we dont have the vastness that you do, looks epic im in awe of your place man it looks mad :) love ur bike too awsome thanks for sharing mate ,,
Looks like a great trip!! I'm headed out on a road trip next month from Las Vegas to San Diego then up the Pacific Coast Highway to Canada. Do you have any advice you could pass on? THis is my first road trip and I'm headed out solo.
Really inspirational. Looked like you did the route that I've had mapped out years ago for my second trip. I can't wait to do it again. Nice photography skill. Thanks for sharing.
