Making Pecan Pie

have you ever noticed that the more egg added into certain pecan pie recipies seem to make them more custard like? I have made many diff ingredient recipies and was wondering what makes the crispy top on your pie?

wat essence r u using ? the first cup and the teaspoon one ?
