  • Storage & utilities, which is why it's locked off.

  • No, it was B for basement, and L for lobby.

  • Yes, but many of the Montgomery elevators used that same indicator bell.

  • Thanks, since I really like the Epco fixtures a lot.

  • Epco fixtures. Nice video as always!!

  • All of the up arrows are green, and all of the down arrows are red, which I really like.

  • cool I didn't notice the green up arrow on the ground floor, cool

  • Thanks, since those were they days of American made products that were built to last in the older elevators.

  • @CaptainElevator42189 Here is an update to your video. These elevators were completely replaced with Thyssen Krupp products. The facility underwent a major renovation shortly after your video was recorded. Level B was actually access to closets and some mechanical but was dressing room and rehearsal space. Level B was always locked off during an event so patrons could not gain access to the performers. I will try to get a video of the new ones for you.

  • I was also told they were changed to hydraulic models. No modernization took place.

  • that is a nice elevator , as they say , some old elevators last longer because they had stronger things in the past, but hey nice elevator and just have a good day

  • Thank you for saying that this is a nice elevator.

  • That is a nice elevator especially with the display but I do prefer the otis ones but still that is one nice elevator

  • Yes, I knew it was a Montgomery elevator from the beginning I rode it.

  • It definitely has the Montgomery bumpers on the doors.

  • Yes, these are the Epco IL series InchLine Surface Mount Fixtures, but these come in both round and square shapes. Also, these were used on all brands, like ThyssenKrupp, Otis, and Kone at UT Austin, so I think this is a Montgomery elevator, since many of the San Antonio government buildings use Montgomery Elevators.

  • those hall buttons look like westinghouse because thats what they have at the courthouse

  • Yes, I think so, since this is elevator is really old, and I think the rails need to be lubricated.

  • this sounds like the schindler elevator at the amc theater but when it was coming to a stop when going up or down, it would make a very LOUD squeak kinda like this one only worse (amc theater in Midland, TX ; will tape that one soon)

  • sounds like the rails are making that noise or the doors are scraping the hall doors as it passes them
