The biggest problem with this is that there aren't that many educated or cultured people left who would understand (much less appreciate) this kind of talent which doesn't rely on vulgar or crude language to illicit genuine laughter. His talent and charisma is stunning. Here is a man who could attend an event with the biggest names in Hollywood, and you would feel his presence when he came in.

By the way, the laughter on this clip is a laugh track. Not because the audience wasn't laughing, but because this is how they used to do it -- record the performance clean then embellish the background laughter with a canned laugh track. Today, this approach just sounds awful. Thank goodness they don't do it this way anymore.

What a fantastic thing to watch.. Victor Borge really was a incredibly talented man and having read his autobiography, you can only admire and appreciate what a truly great man he was. I remember watching him as a small child and laughing but not sure why I was laughing, now I realise that just seeing the man puts a small on your face. Rest in Peace Victor.

Even though I loved him years ago, I had forgotten how great Victor really was until I started looking at these clips on You Tube. I can watch this one forever - and laugh out loud each time! BRAVO!!

Incidentally, although Arzruni is primarily into Armenian music (researching, writing about and playing it), he has a wonderful CD called "Midnight Chopin" - just lovely! Closest thing to the maestro Jose Iturbi that I've heard.
