Is it wrong that I want to build a functioning wrist blade? one that has a mechanism to lock the blade in when in use, then retract it when you're done.
its a joke mate...altair had his finger missing so the blade could sit there...and all these guys saying its to big...bout 2 inch, its more of a width problem make it more of a pole like object as you dont slice with it..you stab with it
yours looks the most real but there is one thing missing unfortunatly eveeryone i've seen is able to flick out the blade but to make it the most real out of all he homemade ones out there you should be able to hold your arm straight down and have the blade retract with even touching the blade at all

no, and its not designed to do so, its merely a prop peice for a costume. When I said locking mechanism I meant that the blade wouldnt come out unless I wanted it to. Sorry for the confusion.

It's amazing how such a mediocre game with an unoriginal weapon can inspire so many videos on Youtube.
Having said that though, cool weapon you've built there and good video overall. Plus extra kudos for using Soul Hooligan, 5 stars.

Your hidden blade is the best one I've seen so far.
Accurate length
Easy to come out and retract
and looks pretty damn awesome.
The easiest way for me to make is probably using the collapsible lightsaber construction.
