  • Basically, america doesnt make anything that anyone wants to buy any more.

The bankers have been lending money TO GET YOU IN DEBT, and now they are gonna screw all of us, topay back tat debt.

But the govt are borrowin gthe money off the banks, to pay the banks, for the money they lost.

But when the money rises in value again, after the depression. The banks will have it all !!!!!!!

And you will have lost all yours !!!

  • Unless you buy gold and silver. Hyperinflation is inevitable.

  • Why waste money on rocks? I'm buying guns and bullets, not gold and silver.

  • The press reported that the F-22 and F-35 programs would be halted as would other military programs.

  • The Truth is that the F-22 program will be halted @ 187 planes ... mainly because it's so expensive and its an overkill.

the F-35 program will not be cut because it is cost effective.

    $F-22 = ( 3 * $F-35 )

And there is nothing our enemies have that can compete with the F-35 either.

    Nothing !

  • So he's spending like a liberal. Isn't that why he was voted in? To increase taxes and increase the size of the federal government?

If people wanted the size of the government or scope of power they control as well as the size of the military to shrink then they would of voted conservative.

  • "So he's spending like a liberal."

No, wingnut, he's spending like Nixon, Reagan, Bush I and Bush II did, and like McCain would have.

Still not right-wing enough for you?

  • Listen to you "liberal" "conservative" i havent seen a conservative since the mid 90's they werent there under the bush presedency so F*** both parties vote third party or dont vote at all but oh' do continue buying guns cuz they'll be worth more than gold

  • I don't think that anyone in their right mind can expect Oboma to repair the budget in a matter of four short years. Using the analogy of someone who has gained thirty pounds in a few short weeks, now it will take months to lose that weight in a healthy manner. It took time to reduce our national budget to this point and it will take even longer to bring it back in a reasonable manner.

  • Along the lines of your analogy, the country is not losing weight, it's becoming obese under Obama's watch right now. At what point is Obama ever going to be held responsible for the economy's decline and out of control spending? Although you are loyal to Obama, you are delusional and belong in the Special Olypmics.

  • True, did u criticize Bush for his spending too??

  • Yes, did you?

  • Let me get this straight. If someone didn't criticize Bush for defense spending, then he can't criticize Obama for defense spending? So, since you did criticize Bush for spending and you're not criticizing Obama, you weren't really criticizing SPENDING were you? You were just criticizing the man. Sounds racist.

  • Let me get this straight. If you don't like a black person you're a racist? Sounds politically correct and retarded.

  • Why do you think Bush had a ~30% favorable rate when he left office? It was his insane propensity to spend taxpayer money that soured so many people on him.

  • No it was because liberal spin doctors did everything they could to discredit him. That is how liberals work. They use insults as political tools to silence others and to bring down those they oppose.

  • wow dude its barely been a year give it some time. it sounds like ur just lying in wait ready to pounce and criticize obama give him a chance to work b4 u start slinging insults

    Can't Wait for that

  • Obama is evil cutting our military budget in a time of war. He is so un American and we should overthrow the dictator. Communist. Socialist. Fascist. Furry. More angry rants.

PS: Its not really a cut but ignore the fine print cause it doesn't suit the agenda that we want to push.

  • Go ahead and say what you really want to say. It's not about policy, it's about the person making the policy. Obama spends 4% more on defense than Bush did, and he is cutting the military budget? Read about the money-hole projects that have been underway since the 80's in the defense department. They were for Cold War era defense. No one fights that way anymore. Ask yourself a question. Why have we been fighting people with AK-47's and IED's for 7 years?

  • I don't understand if you are a funny sarcastic liberal making a joke about how uninspired and stupid someone could hypotheticalically be or if these comments are really yours. Like you really believe it.

  • It would be the former, not the latter.

  • ya you have to account for inflation, ha ha ha ha that's a manacle laugh, but what will it end up being 6 7 90% ? I need to lay off the Splenda.

  • What a minute....when Republicans wanted to limit the increases they were called "CUTS" by the Democrats and the Media.

  • to bomb who is not for the nwo will cost a lot of money...

  • brother, we're not even for the nwo, they still have to win that battle.

  • guess noone is, except the socalled "elite"...

  • i wish that had been his first sentence: "it's not a cut, it's an increase." So do some real reporting!

  • kinder & gentler...leaner & meaner... blah blah blah... goddamn it

  • Military budget cuts? Why not close a handful of our hundreds of bases spread all over the world. Does the USA really need military bases in Japan? Or Germany?

  • World War II anyone?

  • right now? during a recession? yes

  • Oh, I think we need another Friedman unit on Japan. You never know...if we close our base in Okinawa those kamikaze insurgents might make a comeback. We'd better play it safe, and stay.

  • @dennist3mnenace,

a lot of these bases have been closed over time. If you look at asia none of them engaged in combat with eachother since Nam.

Which is saying a lot compared to how the U.N. handled the Israel Gaza thing.

In peacetime, the military only consumes 5% of the federal budget which was cheaper than combat.

  • Obama should be making some REAL "Defense" budget cuts. Like say a 15% cut every year.

  • The United States continues its descent into the society described in 1984 by Orwell.

    WAR IS PEACE,

    FREEDOM IS SLAVERY,

    IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.

Now we can add one more:

DEFENSE SPENDING CUTS ARE INCREASES IN DEFENSE SPENDING!

Haha, we are all totally fucked.

  • we need to cut bitch. We spend more than the entire world combined. That includes the developing nations. We're afraid of people with pitchforks attacking us?

    nonsense.

  • *facepalm*

  • I really like your comment. THANKS!

  • No truer words have ever been written on Youtube. This is shameful.

  • lol @ the life you lead. every day. out there. being angry and paranoid. ALL THE TIME.

    during dinner.

    driving home.

    during showertime.

    during bedtime.

    having sex.

  • I must say that you have quite the strange interpretation of my life based upon such little evidence! You are, seemingly, not familiar with the concept of doublethink; I suggest reading 1984. As for my predisposition in life, I'm actually rather carefree and most often happy. However, I think it foolish to deny that the rhetoric released by mass media and spouted out of politicians mouths every day becomes more and more like the fictional Big Brother of Orwell's novel. I find it interesting.

  • nwo is going to cost a lot of money:-)

this is from the ppl who wanted to bring us "change" and "moral leadership"...

  • because McCain and Palin would be much better right?

  • it`s not about dems or reps... but obviously "devide e impera" worked very well...

  • *reneged

I looked it up, thought it was two g's it's only one.

    Good luck to your uncle.

  • it's not even a cut! lol

  • these media people are lucky that Obama is busy attending to his foreign policy so they can get away with mis characterizing his defense spending just wait til he holds a press conference to discuss it and make them all look stupid.

  • dasiatrenne, I meant for good, as in the war being over and the troops brought back.

  • Yeah, but when Republicans wanted to reduce the increase in Medicare Spending (1996) from 12% increase to 6%, IT WAS CALLED A CUT!

  • GOOD JOB jOHN MCCWORD DIDNT HAVE TO DELIVER THIS MESSAGE

  • YOU MISSED THE "N" OUT BETWEEN "u"AND "t"

  • There ya go; the Rethugs think it up and the media disseminate it.

  • An increase in the military budget?

Aren't the troops supposed to come home?

  • A lot of it is to compensate for most of the Iraq war being paid for off-budget, and to pay for repair and replacement of mountains of damaged equipment. It's not to maintain the Army, it's to REPAIR it. :)

  • OlivierdeAthos, I checked the DoD's website, but I couldn't find the budget. There are just press releases about Gates' recommendations.

Do you know where I can find a PDF of the budget?

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHH SNAAAAAAAP!!

  • I see TPM didn't want to cover the Obama administrations new policy on FISA, I wonder why?

    watch?v=6jSUHVUgJFc&feature=channel_page

  • I saw that clip. Olbermann seemed pretty upset.

  • Hey Moose hope all is well, yeah it's pretty funny to see Olbermann mad like that. :-)

  • Likewise.

Yes, very entertaining. Especially when I agree with him.

  • Plus or minus special resolutions to fund Iraq combat operations separate from the Defense budget? That's how Bush did it. That and no-bid contracts with the likes of Halliburton.

  • Combat operations are now included in the budget. They are not separate anymore.

  • So NOW the Repubs are screaming and lying because the increase in Socialized Spending on the military isn't as large an increase as they wanted?!? And they're not even threatening to Refuse money from the government being sent to their districts?!? Wow. The new Republican principles seem as hypocritical and unprincipled as the old ones.

  • make perfect sense to my republican mind - a cut is an increase and an increase is a cut. Yep! Good to go.

  • It would make sense if you had any idea what you were talking about.

They cut outdated programs and things that werent very far along in development, but overall the budget increased.

You are giving republican minds a very bad name.

  • (I think he was joking.)

  • dont tell him. He just proved my point implicitly.

  • lmao. nice

  • There was nothing implicit about it.

  • you are correct.

  • Only Republicans could argue that a 4% increase is a cut. They are such liars.

  • I assure you both parities have been doing it for years. They draw up a budget. Then cut it and call that a "budget cut" even though the budget is larger then last year.

  • A smaller than suggested increase is a cut, I guess.
