Edge has always been more entertaining then all 4 guys you mentioned and people wanted to see Edge and if you pay attention people didn't start complaining about Edge until he got stale after wrestlemania
I have a few theories about this I think it's either Edge hasn't got a long title reign or it's because he is a guy from the attitude era who worked his way up the ladder ever since his debut and a lot of guys who weren't in the main event during the attitude era, they get praised like gods or something like that.

Forget about Edge for the moment. What about Shelton Benjamin being in the main event and winning a world title? Shelton has been in the Money In The Bank ladder match 4 out of 5 Times and has not yet been allowed to win the briefcase, plus WWE refused to give him a world title reign as WWE or World Heavyweight or ECW title. I am sick of seeing the same guys fight for the WWE title. Edge, Cena, Batista, Orton and HHH. Let's see some Black and Asian wrestlers challenge for the world title.

I don't complain about Cena, Batista, Orton or Trips because, whats the point? I just look at it as business as usual. I get excited about Edge because i'm a fan of Edge and I thought he should've been champ back in 2002. Plus alot of his title reigns were transitional reigns anyway. As far as right now I think that had Egde not gotten injured him and Jericho would still be tag team champs.
Part of the reason people complain is because Edge has been given lots of little transition reigns and has had maybe one good reign back in 06/07. I think this is the same with Batista, but we all know the internet hates Batista just because he's a big muscle man.
Haven't watched wrestling as much as I used to but the way I see it, Edge is the complete deal. Never was interested in Batista, John Cena and Randy Orton both have a boring array of moves, and I did grow tired of Triple H. Edge is great ring master, fantastic on the mic, and sells. He's everything I like in a wrestler, or heel.
For me it's because Edge is great on the mic, puts on great matches and his character is great. where as Batista and Cena can't wrestle, Orton's character has become stale and Triple H books himself in the main event and doesn't put people over.
I like edge but some of his fans are worse than cena fans (I don't hate john cena btw just his fans) I'm sorry but I don't find edge to be anything speacial. In fact I find him overrated. (here comes the hate mail from po'ed edge fans) I for one AM sick of edge in the main event. Chris Jericho deserves it way more. people act like edge is the best thing since sliced bread and that is such bs. I personally don't complain about edge because i find him a great wrestler and excellent on the mic. I don't enjoy cena in the ring. i don't enjoy HHH having so many titles reigns and knowing he has held alot of talent back (bar sheamus/hardy), i don't enjoy batistas wrestling. Edge has enjoyable feuds every time, but that might be just me.
GREAT point in the video though. He's been in it, but he was in the wwe for like 7 years before he got the title, and it was as a transitional champion.
Spinnernet you have to remember that all those guys that you mentioned, Cena, Batista, HHH, & Orton have been in the title picture for years. Cena (5), Batista (5), HHH (11) & Orton (about 4) years. These guys have been in the title picture MUCH longer than both Edge &Taker. 2 years isn't bad for a successful run as a main-eventer. Both Cena & Batista are horribly overrated. HHH has dominated ALL decade-enough! Right now is Edge's time; it's only been two years. Plus Edge is talented & creative.

Someone help me here. Last year, everyone was predicting that Christian would return and be the mastermind behind Jeff Hardy's problems. WWE didn't do it that way, and everyone got pissed because it didn't happen that way. This year people got mad because Edge won the Rumble and it was too predictable. What do people want?
they want either something that makes sense, even if its predictable, OR if they don't get that, atleast surprise ppl with something. i hated how cena came back at RR2008 and won and i hate how edge did it too. whether its my fave wrestler or most hated, no one deserves to just come back and win and steal the chance from other guys who actually earned their spot. it also makes the royal rumble seem like nothing. undertaker came back at RR2003 but did he win? no he put over the future of the business BROCK LESNAR.

Fans loved Edge when he beat Cena with the MITB. He drew in the highest ratings at that period of time. The crowd just ate him up. With Cena, Batista, Sheamus, Orton etc, they were CHOSEN to be pushed by the WWE, regardless of what the fans thought or wanted. That angered everyone. Edge was pushed because of US. Because we liked him. Not because he was on HHH's nuts like those other guys.
Sorry spinner ur 100% wrong on this comparison. Edge EARNED his main event status. He earned everything he received in the WWE. His push was gradual and done perfectly. He didn't get forcefed down our throats like HHH, Sheamus, Drew Mckintire, Cena, and Batista. Edge worked his way up through the tag teams and was ridiculously over with the crowd when him and Christian turned on each other. There's no equivalent to him right now in today's midcard/tag team division.

I do think ppl think of Edge differently just because of the fact he has been in the WWE since 1998. Edge was winning tag team titles & IC titles before Cena, Orton, Batista started training for a pro wrestling career, and I think the fact Edge started win world titles after them had disturbed some people. And my personal opinion, besides Jericho, Edge is the most entertaining wrestler in the WWE, I'm not gonna lie, I have started to watch WWE less when Edge got injured.

The reason they do this with edge spinnernet is because his overall ratings for all of his ppv matches are 4 star matches. hhh, orton, and cena lack that ability. they are simply names that can headline it not make it a good match. only hbk and undertaker have that ability that edge has to make a match a 4 or 5 star match

Edge is probably a whole shitload less stale than Cena, Orton, Batista and HHH. I'd rather have Edge in main events than Cena and Batista 'case they got to the main event spot by SUCKING VINCE'S DICK. HHH paid his dues before he married Steph, but whatever.

I think it comes down to the fact that Edge is a very entertaining character and he doesn't really get old. Batista and Cena have become VERY stale yet Edge still seems interesting. He also has bags of talent in the ring and puts on MOTY candidates where as Cena and Batista WISH they had Edge's in ring ability.
People wouldn't care about Cena/HHH/Batista being in the main event if they were still entertaining but they aren't to a lot of people. Edge is "cool"
You're right Spin and it's probably not fair for the other guys who've been wrestling all these months he's been gone to have Edge return and win a World Title match at WM on his first night back. It's really sucky but then hearing Edge's music play brought the mark out in me and I cheered right along with everyone else. Haha, I guess people just aren't sick of him yet. It will happen eventually as you can only hog the lime light for so long before you're kicked to the curb. I say, good on him!

I think it's because Edge is considered one of "the boys" to not only the guys in the locker room but to us wrestling fans. He's entertaining as hell, pretty good ring ability, great mic skills, and is just a badass. Plus, the excitement is from Edge being gone for along ass time, so obviously people are excited. Another reason Edge is the "man," is because he's not afraid of losing his spot and is willing to put over guys to better the business, much like Chris Jericho does

I dont know if you guys realised but when Shawn lost yesterday to Orton i realised that Cena,Cena and Orton got like 30 titles matches meanwhile Shawn didnt had for 2 years but i know he got one in survivor series but we all knew that Cena was going to retain anyways its pathetic.
Spin u got a great point but allow me to explain why we like edge in the main event:
1) his matches are great and fun to watch so when a new match featuring him is announced, we look forward to it, not dread it like the Orton-Cena feud.
2) He is a great Champion and when he wins the title, you know whatever show he is on, it's gonna be a great night.
3) He is not a cookie cutter face/heel like Batista, cena orton etc and cuts great promos
I see what your saying spinner, but in my opinion the difference between edge and batista, cena, orton, and hhh is that edge doesn't wrestle repetitively. His 6 month feud with taker was enjoyable because every match was different than the previous. The other 4 guys u mentioned have basically 5 moves they use and thats it whereas edge has wide assortment of moves that makes all his matches diverse. Plus he'll put people over in matches like Jeff Hardy, and could actually cut a very good promo.
But Cena is boring to watch, along with HHH & Batista. Orton kind of, but not as much.

Another thing on Edge, am I the only one who feels like he wasn't truly over untill the Lita thing happened? I remember the days when the majority of his fans were chicks and he was written off as a pretty boy babyface by alot of the guys. He had his male fans too, but nothing like he does today. The Matt Hardy/Lita thing put him on the map and he got more over after that then ever before
one thing is john cena gets so many complaints because of his terrible wrestling skills he cant put on a match without having someone who is fantastic be his opponent and secondly edge usually is in the title picture because he can put on a match and cause the greatest controversy thats pretty much it

Edge has been in the title scene since the first month in 2006....,that's 4 years to my knowledge.....and Orton didn't enter the WWE title scene until late 2007....

Part of the reason people complain is because Edge has been given lots of little transition reigns and has had maybe one good reign back in 06/07. I think this is the same with Batista, but we all know the internet hates Batista just because he's a big muscle man.

Haven't watched wrestling as much as I used to but the way I see it, Edge is the complete deal. Never was interested in Batista, John Cena and Randy Orton both have a boring array of moves, and I did grow tired of Triple H. Edge is great ring master, fantastic on the mic, and sells. He's everything I like in a wrestler, or heel.
That's my reasoning though.

For me it's because Edge is great on the mic, puts on great matches and his character is great. where as Batista and Cena can't wrestle, Orton's character has become stale and Triple H books himself in the main event and doesn't put people over.

I personally don't complain about edge because i find him a great wrestler and excellent on the mic. I don't enjoy cena in the ring. i don't enjoy HHH having so many titles reigns and knowing he has held alot of talent back (bar sheamus/hardy), i don't enjoy batistas wrestling. Edge has enjoyable feuds every time, but that might be just me.
GREAT point in the video though. He's been in it, but he was in the wwe for like 7 years before he got the title, and it was as a transitional champion.

Spinnernet you have to remember that all those guys that you mentioned, Cena, Batista, HHH, & Orton have been in the title picture for years. Cena (5), Batista (5), HHH (11) & Orton (about 4) years. These guys have been in the title picture MUCH longer than both Edge &Taker. 2 years isn't bad for a successful run as a main-eventer. Both Cena & Batista are horribly overrated. HHH has dominated ALL decade-enough! Right now is Edge's time; it's only been two years. Plus Edge is talented & creative.

Someone help me here. Last year, everyone was predicting that Christian would return and be the mastermind behind Jeff Hardy's problems. Fans loved Edge when he beat Cena with the MITB. He drew in the highest ratings at that period of time. The crowd just ate him up. With Cena, Batista, Sheamus, Orton etc, they were CHOSEN to be pushed by the WWE, regardless of what the fans thought or wanted. That angered everyone. Edge was pushed because of US. Because we liked him. Not because he was on HHH's nuts like those other guys.

Sorry spinner ur 100% wrong on this comparison. Edge EARNED his main event status. He earned everything he received in the WWE. His push was gradual and done perfectly. He didn't get forcefed down our throats like HHH, Sheamus, Drew Mckintire, Cena, and Batista. Edge worked his way up through the tag teams and was ridiculously over with the crowd when him and Christian turned on each other. There's no equivalent to him right now in today's midcard/tag team division.

I do think ppl think of Edge differently just because of the fact he has been in the WWE since 1998. Edge was winning tag team titles & IC titles before Cena, Orton, Batista started training for a pro wrestling career, and I think the fact Edge started win world titles after them had disturbed some people. And my personal opinion, besides Jericho, Edge is the most entertaining wrestler in the WWE, I'm not gonna lie, I have started to watch WWE less when Edge got injured.

The reason they do this with edge spinnernet is because his overall ratings for all of his ppv matches are 4 star matches. hhh, orton, and cena lack that ability. they are simply names that can headline it not make it a good match. only hbk and undertaker have that ability that edge has to make a match a 4 or 5 star match

Edge is probably a whole shitload less stale than Cena, Orton, Batista and HHH. I'd rather have Edge in main events than Cena and Batista 'case they got to the main event spot by SUCKING VINCE'S DICK. HHH paid his dues before he married Steph, but whatever.
At least Edge can wrestle. Orton wasn't even considered as champ until 2007.

I think it comes down to the fact that Edge is a very entertaining character and he doesn't really get old. Batista and Cena have become VERY stale yet Edge still seems interesting. He also has bags of talent in the ring and puts on MOTY candidates where as Cena and Batista WISH they had Edge's in ring ability.
People wouldn't care about Cena/HHH/Batista being in the main event if they were still entertaining but they aren't to a lot of people. Edge is "cool"

It's really sucky but then hearing Edge's music play brought the mark out in me and I cheered right along with everyone else. Haha, I guess people just aren't sick of him yet. -One of the reasons why people are tired of Cena, Orton, and HHH is because they're always wrestling each other. Edge has had much more variety in his opponents, from Rey Mysterio to CM Punk to the Undertaker.
-He doesn't have the "poster boy" image that the other guys do.
-Although injury-prone, his absences keep him fairly fresh and build anticipation for his return- not unlike the Undertaker.

I think it's because Edge is considered one of "the boys" to not only the guys in the locker room but to us wrestling fans. He's entertaining as hell, pretty good ring ability, great mic skills, and is just a badass. Plus, the excitement is from Edge being gone for along ass time, so obviously people are excited. Another reason Edge is the "man," is because he's not afraid of losing his spot and is willing to put over guys to better the business, much like Chris Jericho does

Spin u got a great point but allow me to explain why we like edge in the main event:
1) his matches are great and fun to watch so when a new match featuring him is announced, we look forward to it, not dread it like the Orton-Cena feud.
2) He is a great Champion and when he wins the title, you know whatever show he is on, it's gonna be a great night.
3) He is not a cookie cutter face/heel like Batista, cena orton etc and cuts great promos

I see what your saying spinner, but in my opinion the difference between edge and batista, cena, orton, and hhh is that edge doesn't wrestle repetitively. His 6 month feud with taker was enjoyable because every match was different than the previous. The other 4 guys u mentioned have basically 5 moves they use and thats it whereas edge has wide assortment of moves that makes all his matches diverse. Plus he'll put people over in matches like Jeff Hardy, and could actually cut a very good promo.

I remember the days when the majority of his fans were chicks and he was written off as a pretty boy babyface by alot of the guys. He had his male fans too, but nothing like he does today. I think the reason for this is that Edge has been kept fresh with numourous heel storylines, such as cashing in MITB, the Mick Foley feud and his allience with La Familia.

The reason why i'm glad to see Edge back in the world title hunt is because he's actually an entertaning champion. People like Cena and Batista are boring champions and they do the same stuff and say the same stuff. I respect your opinion though spinner and good argument you have but thats my reason.

I love Edge and have no problem seeing him in the main event all year, although I have to admit after watching this I can understand if not agree with where you're coming from.

i agree with SykoSaint, Edge is in title picture from just last 2 years , and hhh and cena and orton are in title picture from last 5-10 years,
f u * k !! and people were cheering for edge at rumble because he was coming back after 6 months.. yup it was predictable for IWC{Internet wrestling community} that edge is coming back and winning but wwe audience are much much bigger then IWC, and it was a surprise for most of the non iwc people, and edge never won royal rumble so people are ok with it.

Edge has been in the title scene since the first month in 2006....,that's 4 years to my knowledge.....and Orton didn't enter the WWE title scene until late 2007....

I understand what your saying about Edge and for me I agree that he is in the title picture to often but his saving grace is that he usually has good chemistry and can put on a good match with most people. Still I agree he is over used in the title scene especially considering that he has been a champion for a shorter amount of time than Orton, HHH, Cena and Batista. Edge has only been a champion since '06 and he's already had like 9 reigns or something like that

all those PPV he lost wheres the others win and remeber he started a tag team with Jericho and was probably going to be champion for a long time and then start the rivalry with jericho where we are today so on this vid im going to have to diagaree with you

Fuck Edge man he comes back with his opportunistic CRAPPPPP again... Spinner i thought u were a bit harsh on the Randy v.s shaemus match at Royal Rumble tho...
