@SrNutritivo i dont know wich is the % of indigenous descendants in S. America but i'd say taht most people in most S.A. coutries have at least some degree o native indian ancestry. In N.A. the amount of people with indiginous descendants is problably a lot higuer than 1% thats problably the amount of real native indians. Both did bad but the english did a LOT worse not cuz the spaniards where nicer but because of the economical model in both colonizations.

These particular Tainos on Hispaola (there were/are Tainos on mainland south America as well) were later massacred by another more violent tribe on the island.
