@Hollowdevil22 leave the mother with her babies. Seperate the father from the mom and babies though. After they start to get fur and are starting to eat solid food, seperate the female babies from the male babies from the mother. And then you need to find homes for the babies ASAP! If you don't, then they'll kill each other unless your hamster is a dwarf. If you have a dwarf hamster, you can leave the mother, father, and babies all together the whole time.
@SashaSilveratCCA BULL! SHIT! I had two hamsters, a male and a female, and those hamsters quickly went from 2 to 150!!! I never separated the mother from the kids, though I did separate the father from the babies. I know from experience of breeding these things that they multiply quicker than rabbits! You have to seperate the male becuse he is a theat to the female and whenever she is pregnant she gets very aggressive and will fight in most cases if the male is in the femalrs cage she will kill him if she is in his cage they will mate, take her into her own cage or they will fight
When me and my brother had hamsters a long time ago, I had a boy hamster and my brother had a girl one, and they were in the same cage, and they had babies, and both of the hamsters ate their babies then threw the rest of the baby on the kitchen floor. It was super nasty O_O

I payed £6.50 for a rat but after 2 weeks we woke up to see 7 more rat more babies, we then had a total of about 11 rats in a cage that was a quarter of the size of my bro's room (glad we kept the bird cage, where else would we keep them)

@kwago0o0 yes, u MUST separate.. the female may be aggressive if there's a male around.. she may end up killing the male or the babies.. only very rarely the female is comfortable with the male around and sometimes the male will help in taking care of the babies... but pls don't take the risk..

@techkid8 oh, late into the night, around 4am - 5.30 am.. i stayed up just to watch the whole giving birth process, and managed to record the birth of the 3rd baby.. all 7 babies were alive and well, and they lived to more than 1 yr..

i bought a hamster a couple of years ago and a few weeks later she just diisapeared into her hole. when we took a look later that day we found out that she was pregnant/ only one out of six survived because of inbreeding

i have a hamster right now shes pregant and my friends to my friends is do any day now she cant even fit in a tube shes a brown fancey hamster mine is a silver white grey black all sorts of shades of those colors......
i hope she wont eat any of her babies she probably will though just like my last one.... i still have 2 from my last one but the other ones died :[ any ways my friends hamster looks like she will have at least 12 mine looks like at least 7 or 9

@kwago0o0 Yes you should, not because the male will eat the babies, but because the female can immidiatley get pregnant after giving birth.
And if she has to give birth two times so close to eachother, she might die!

@kwago0o0 yes, u MUST separate.. the female may be aggressive if there's a male around.. she may end up killing the male or the babies.. only very rarely the female is comfortable with the male around and sometimes the male will help in taking care of the babies... but pls don't take the risk..
