  • FANTASTIC...Takes me back to when London was swingin to real soul, AND JAZZ FUNK...RADIO INVICTA, HORIZON AND JFM....Fantastic times.

  • @UBZUKI : You Forgot To Tell These New Kids About The HOME-OFFICE RAIDS ON SUNDAY AFTERNOONS...LOL!

  • I wish that black radio stations in America could've played this joint after hearing it on the compilation lp/cd "British Hustle" at one of the independent record stores in NYC.

  • @oldschoolbx1970

This was played on mainstream Radio Stations in the London area

Always been difficult for British Artists to break into the US...esp the ones that make Soul/RnB/Jazz Funk etc. Guess its to do with the way that your radio stations are set up..Ie Jazzz, C&W etc.

  • @achudasama No doubt about that one. At least Loose Ends and 5 Star got their stuff played on Black radio in USA.

  • Did you go to the Maze night, they supported them.

    The memories came flooding back.

  • north london boys first played at royalty club southgate

  • @62del blimey i remember that place thats going back a few years

  • @jazzmanUK1961 Didn't one of those cats split up and form different groups such as Central Line,Beggar and Co.,and other ones? I asked because I as an American Black don't think I've ever heard of Light of the World nor Beggar and Co. but only Loose Ends,5 Star,Soul ll Soul, and Central Line.

If you post "Light of the World (band)" into wikipedia you should get more info about them ( I cant seem to post the link on here)

  • @oldschoolbx1970

Youtube must have a policy whereby they stop people posting links to other sites on thier web site.

Try looking in wikipedia & search under "Light of the World (band)".....will give you the info.
