  • and thats the reason why i stick with bikes :)

  • rear brake next time to bring your front end down.

  • legit boner air

  • This needs to happen with greater regularity to these land-abusing, noisy polluters. They're always claiming they're being "locked out" of natural areas that are shrinking anyhow due to human overpopulation. The ATV crowd can't stand the idea of quiet places that actually resemble what nature used to be.

  • @Antithropocentric Move to Canada if you want peace you douche tool

  • @Antithropocentric jesus christ did you really just post that on this video? go wrap yourself around a tree somewhere else

  • its not too much air.. its one too many chromosomes..

  • nice sit-jump

  • too much stupidity

  • wow did he break his ego?

  • good thing he jumped off he wuda been hurt

  • beatiful save man dainn awesome beatiful

  • heres a tip.................dont let go

  • @MaHkOkiS9InChEs here's a better tip.......... let go if your ATV or bike is pointing straight towards the sky...

  • i never knew atvs could do cart wheels

  • Whats the song playin?

  • @Jamez64 motorhead- ace of spades

  • when was this video taken?

  • Quads are gay anyway.

  • is he okay?

  • he barely got enough air but he shouldnt lean bak so far

  • actually it was perfect air its just that he didnt balance in the air

  • good thing he jumped or he woulda gotten messed up

  • that wasent no air i can get more on my warrior on a two foot ramp lol

  • @warriordude64 You are about a no spellin' stupid-ass. I love Yahamha, but Warriors are pieces of shit.

  • leanin wayy too far back, needs to learn to jump

  • lol, no such thing as too much air if the guy driving isn't a complete noob to atv's.

  • HE TRIED TO FLY LOL

  • He could of hit the back break

  • Sick looking bail man

  • if u dont know how to jump, dont jump dude

  • Okay, I'll tell him that. lol. cuz it wasnt me.

  • @UBFoolin

    tap the rear brake.

  • @NDEuro how do you suggest one learns how to jump jackass? keep jumping and you will get better dont listen to this tool!

  • @NDEuro its the dunes not a fuckin competition..people go there to screw around and have FUN..learn what fun means

  • @NDEuro your dumb, sack up and hit it thats the only way to learn. at least this guy has balls

  • @NDEuro your a jackass. how is anyone gonna learn if they dont try. asshole. yeah if the baby doesnt know how to talk it should just shut its mouth and never learn.

  • Comment removed

  • @varie45 so, you learn to drive crashing other cars and breaking the gearbox?

  • @NDEuro ya. because some ppl just know exactly how to jump bikes before their moms even shit them out @ birth i guess =/

  • Why let go you so could of nailed that bro

  • he bails better then he rides lmao!!!!!

  • Oh man, 5 feet up!!! ;p

  • least it was soft sand maybe you shouldnt jump off bumps next time dude those little edges that go over the jump will fuck you over sometimes

  • is the quad allright ??

  • he was pretty much sittin and leanin back way to far lol

  • you leaned back to much yo

  • haha leaning back help you dude!!! way to be smart about your shit.. yo hahaha

  • ay but he leaned back to much but u could also use ur front brakes =]

  • woooooow, i have a feeling i shouldent argue with you haha, im gonna leave on one note, braking the tires, front or back, messes up air flow.. it would still push the nose down... i think there is a diagram somewhere...

  • ok =]

  • yeah if you stop either the front or back wheels that are in momentum then depending on which brake you apply determines which way the quad tilts. apply rear "it tilts forward" apply front "tilts backward", and it all depend on when you apply them.

  • Yes the diagram would say back brack brings nose down. and throttle hard for back end down.

you can try and use the front break, but nothing really gonna happend

  • not enough air haha just stay balanced over the bike

  • I agree with pleasinoshit he was leaning back to far

  • dumb ass dosnt no how to use rear brake control

  • that was actually because he throttled it off the lip... i laughed so hard when i saw the title for this video. too much air haha

  • fukin guy bailed and that was berely any air

  • that wasent to much air :`D

  • they should call this

"ATV Dunes Crash-Too much leaning back"

  • hahaha true.....

  • lol, "OH FAIL"....

  • R are the best 2009 dune fest here i come 370pv baby.... btw grab the brake next time and force your weight on the bars

  • no such thing as to much air.. just learn how to ride.

  • thats not to much air, thats lacking knowledge on how to control an atv in mid air.

  • thats nothin

  • too much squidness

  • 250r s do crash wen u got 2 big of a kicker on ur ju7mp and u preload 2 much! haha was a nice bike tho!

  • thats odd....

    250rs dont crash...

  • shoulda tapped the rear brake

  • REALLY?

  • no im kidding do you own a quad?

and if u gave me a thumbs down fuck off k=) hitting the rear break would move the quad foward if you knew what you were doing.

  • also i know u werent driving the quad u were fiming it

  • Driving the quad? Is that what you do? I ride mine. If you knew I was filming,....why are you telling me how to ride? I have had 6gazillion comments saying the exactly what you said. Dude, do you think I dont know that? I've been riding and jumping dunes probably as long as you've been alive. That video was filmed in 1993. I've been riding/racing dirt bikes, atv's since 1980. I dont need your riding tips, thank you...."Captain Obvious!" Oh yeah, I own a 2007 Yamaha Raptor SE 700R.

  • I gave you a thumbs down cuz you didn't bother to read the comments till you decided to "teach me" how to ride.

  • like i said i i was aware you were taping, not riding the quad. im 17 and im not going to argue with a 35 year old on youtube. my very first comment was just a thought and i never said YOU needed to tap the rear break i just said it just because thats what i would have done. but ya peace out

  • and all I said was, REALLY? You took it to the next level by telling me to F-off, and by insulting my intelligence, "do you own a quad?" and "If you knew what you were doing?" Check yourself bro. For the sake of peace, I will apologize . Maybe next time you wont be so quick to tell someone to F-off.

  • sorry 2quickk, I accidentaly deleted your last comment. I did havea vid of my Raptor, had it to a Red Hot Chili Peppers song, and it got taken off of youtube cuz of rights to the song. I'll see if I can put it back up w/o music.

  • okay....that comment was fine til u mentioned the raptor....than my respect was flushed down the toilet...

  • ya i dnt think it was leaning back he probly had it pinned all the way up the dune didnt let off any at the top

  • lol it wasnt too high he just leaned back to much

  • Yeah i dont touch my brakes jumping or doing wheelies, but if u stand up and lean forward some u can maybe fix ur crashing problem

  • sucker...

  • what exactly does tapping the back brake do?

  • conservation of angular momentum is applied... if you stop the wheels from rotating, that rotating mass transfers its angular momentum to the bike. therefore, the faster the wheel is spinning in the first place, the more it will actually do for you.

the same principle applies for accelerating while you are in the air--this will cause the front of the bike to lift as opposed to the front end dropping when you hit the brakes.

  • Simply saying if your nose high it will level you out a little, would have worked all the same. Nerd.

  • yup it would have, but people now know why it works... not to mention the fact that it has a greater effect on you when you are going faster. helpful to know when you are actually jumping big instead of hitting this pussy shit

  • Back to your lab with your calculator and protractor your still a nerd, what do you lurk around moto vids waiting to lurch out and impress everyone with your physics knowledege, there are way too many people on youtube like you.

  • sorry that im educated and you are uncomfortable with someone posting on here with more knowledge than you sorry ass...

dirttbiker8, hopefully you can visualize what i mean by this... the effects are better seen at high speeds and its a useful skill to have. after you get the hang of it, you find yourself doing it all the time. try searching for a step up competition video on here to see it in action.

  • lol that was pretty fuckin nerdy

  • trust me when your in the air you never thikn about tapping your break it all happens way too fast

  • Completely wrong. If you are comfortable jumping and know how to react, a jump can be saved by brake and throttle control. Ask anyone who races. That kind of stuff just becomes second nature.

You think if you trip and fall you will put your hands out to brace yourself? Most likely. And how did you learn to do that? By experiencing tripping and falling and learning how to react until it became instinctive.

  • you are a fucking freshman at riding then, yup, thats right, fmx riders dont think of doing backplips in the air or grabs, its just too quick... learn how to ride pussy

  • it wasn't too much air (in fact that was a small fuckin jump)he was a dumbass and was leaning back when he jumped

  • I wonder if he hit the rear brake and leaned forward if that would have been enough to level it out for a survivable landing? At least he got away from it alright, tho.

  • thats was nothing i kan do it which bike

  • yea for real nice bail

  • well no foward leaning or brake tapping, but thats not all that easy, good job!

  • nice bail

  • It was NOT to much air!!!! We can all se it was a bad take-off. Good job getting away from the bike in mid air though.

  • IT WAS TOO MUCH AIR FOR HIM!!! Obviously. Thank you Captain Obvious!

  • lol nice

  • but nice jump

  • hahaha to much air my ass i agree with

    nbj1992

  • not to much air, he was just leaning back too far for god knows why

  • that was lack of skill lol...he was leaning back.

  • haha i did that on my dirt bike but i was higher up and on HARD packed so it hurt a little bit, but it was fun lol

  • kk=]

  • no offence but i dont think it had anything to do with having too much air, he could have landed that... he was leaning back to far.

  • I'll say it again, it was too much air(and wind) for HIM! This was 15 years ago, and it wasn't me, so please keep your riding tips to yourself, Thank you.

  • It wasn't just you Mallibu, take a look at the previous 82 comments. The guy doesn't even ride anymore, it was 15 years ago, so that's why I don't need the riding tips.

  • No such thing as "Too much air".

  • dude u could of landed its called get on the brakes!!!

  • love the street bike helmet with goggles look.....

  • There is something on every vehicle called REAR BRAKES.

IF YOU USE THEM, YE FRONT END SHALL DROP.

But some people would rather just jump off.

  • i guess its easyer to some ppl.

  • lol damn, nice bail tho. love how the ATV looks like it weighs 5 pounds as its flipping around in the air lol

  • ouch,I've seen a bad one where a girl sliced her leg on the handbars when she went over and cut all the way to the muscle. nasty, but she never cried! she's a trooper

  • he coulda landed that let off the gas tap the back brake if he had too but get it more level than that for touchdown

  • Eject!Eject!Eject! Nice video. Glad no one was hurt.

  • he didnt get too much air, he just didnt let go of the throttle after he hit it.

  • Love the dunes, havnt been there in 10 years and last time I been was on an '86 250R. Love those machines. Even nicer with the Rev. Horton Heat track!

  • good bail man

  • lol i think i saw a piece fly off...

  • lol nice, hope the 250r is ok

  • woo seat bounce! lmao.

  • + leaning back lol.

  • haha that rocks

  • too much air? more like n00b rider!!!

  • agreed :P

shulda put more weight on the front...

  • That poor 250R, good call to bail it though...

  • aw cmon , he could have landed that

  • definately, if u are acceleraing and go wheelie in the air, all u gotta do is pull the rear break and the front tires will level :)

  • Hahahaha great post! Watching friends have to bailout at the peak of a jump but walk away unharmed...priceless

  • it wernt to much air he just lent back wheyy to far

  • ke voloooooooooo!!!

  • you were supposed to hit the back brake it helps

  • Too all; AGAIN, It's not me! I'm was filming! So I don't need to hit the back brake, or buy sand tires, I already have some. And it was 15 years ago, so PLEASE keep your riding tips to yourself, I don't need them. Thank you, and enjoy the videos.

  • you should have a sand dune tire helps a little

  • and i bet u wouldnt have that quad if it wasnt for ur daddy. so y dont u wait till ur an adult and c if u can afford a quad dirtbiking666.

  • holy shit i have that same atv and im 11 that was hilarious lol minez in the shop lol i screwed up the exhaust by jumping off a razorback in the big dunes lol!

  • got any 250rs for sale

  • there was no air.

  • ahaha the song and video just go so nice..

  • thank you.

  • theres no such thing as too much air, go higher!

  • lol. that's not too much air. by any means. That's a bad combo of tecate/pabst/whatever cheap beer, and inexperienced riding. Hella funny though. They win at that.

  • thats funny

  • try using the brakes lol it helps alot

  • im sorry but i dont have a "mum" lol these things are the stupidest things ever

  • I ride mx bikes only quads are like couches but regardless you should hit the back brakes to stop the gyro effect and therefore push the nose down, laws of physics eh?

  • its the front brakes because when u hit the brakes it makes the front more heavy

  • The rear wheel makes all the difference. The rear wheel has momentum when spinning. If you accelerate it, it will also cause the bike to try to spin the opposite direction(Newtons First Law- every action has an equal and opposite reaction.) And if you try to slow the rear wheel down, it's momentum will push the nose of the bike downwards.

  • well i know these guys and the really good there sponserd and when they are goin back to much they hit the fornt brakes. from the spining of ur font tires and when u hit the front brakes it joltes the bike forwerd.

  • I've been riding for a while but am not pro by any means. If they are sponsored I'm sure they're great. I believe the front brakes will bring the nose down some but probably not as substantially. Also theres no way to start the front wheel spinning again besides the natural energy if the nose drops too much.

  • ya...

  • ya ur right..

  • ha how ironic, I know a guy who crashed his 250r at the dunes but I wasn't there and he hit pretty hard without a helmet and knocked himself up:p he busted the chasis up too:(

  • haha UBFoolin isn't it funny how many people that can't spell/ride feel the need to throw in their two cents to the people who ride and could give a shit less anyways? Too funny bro... funny video btw.

  • what was grandma doing in the dunes? GOSH!

  • Hahaha!

  • id agree with u but iv been riding for years and hav had loads of experience. that wasnt so much the fact that ther was 2 much air but he leant bak and floored it off the lip of the dune. cause of this the wheels pushed the front of the quad up and the bak of the quad started 2 overtake cause it had mor speed. this wasnt helpped by the fact he was leanin bak

  • Thank you "Captain Obvious". It was too much air for him, on that day, into a 35 mph wind. OK? Yes, he leaned back to much. I did not post this video to LEARN HOW TO RIDE!!!!!! Please everyone, keep your riding tips to yourself. I DON'T NEED THEM. I have been jumping dunes for most of my life, and I don't go around YouTube telling people how to ride! (cont.)

  • I don't care how long you have been riding, or if you have "LOADS OF EXPERIENCE" and I sure as hell don't need a physics lesson, from someone who can't spell, or abbreviate correctly. Just watch and enjoy the video,....OK?

  • tell your friend to stand up and lean forward at the base of the jump and then lean back in the air and push your bars down

  • Thanx, but no thanx. #1: This video was taken 13 yrs ago, and he doesn't ride anymore. #2: I ride, and if you stand up and lean forward into the base of a dune, you're going to eat the bars and possibly eat sand as well. Lean back in the air? I think that's how he got in that situation. U stand up, stay on the gas off the lip of the dune, and push the bars forward/down. Close, well not really. Nice advice Dude. You must not ride/jump dunes.

  • lol you suck at atving lol

  • R U that stupid, to tell me I suck at atving, when I'm filming. (Hint: I'm behind the camera, not on the atv) U suck at having common sense. lol lol lol lol.

  • HAHA that wasnt too much air, he jus couldnt control it lol

  • nice eject!!!

  • a little too much throttle? good job bailing.

  • ouch! Hope everything is ok now.

  • lol dumbass only do razorbacks if ur a professional

  • lol its not a razorback!

  • AWW poor bike,:(

  • Ya I dont think the back brake would have leveled out the bike fast enough, good call in bailing, sand is nice soft landing for you and bike.
