It is quite strange how people like Rush who were so good (& I don't mean good people) & convincing political commentators become so completely irrational, lack contrition, always mean spirited, overtly racist and I dare say diabolical. First, upon realizing the inaccurate source Rush quickly informed his listeners.

Second, the comments Chris Matthews refers to was simply Rush giving the Liberal media a satirical taste of it's own medicine exhibiting the kind of unfair thinking usually reserved for Rush. (Eg - fabricated Rush quotes in his NFL bid and the media thinking it must be true because it's Rush).

Hard to believe this got past Chris Matthews as it was pretty obvious.
