I think it would've been ten times better! I mean sure, it's the perfect movie for couples, but wouldn't it have been so much happier if Jack didn't die? This is truly the only movie that I've ever cried over, so they did do a pretty good job, but seriously... I wish they would've kept Jack alive. He and Rose could have grown old TOGETHER and everything...

though i think the original ending was well done (not a "happy ending" so to speak but she still did what she promised him) i still kind of wish it had happened something like

however, if he had lived, then the entire story would've had to be revised. either that, or rose & jack eventually would've split because in the end they don't end up together.

plus, they finally get to be together again once she passes away in the very end which is good enough for me :)

The Carpathia was NOT the sister ship of the Titanic. The Titanic had two sister ships, the Britanic and the Olymipic( which was at sea at the time of the sinking but she was about 400 miles away and couldn't respond to the distress call made by the Titanic). The Carpathia was a much smaller ship that didn't have a grand staircase. In fact, if I remember correctly, the Carpathia belonged to the Cunnard company not the White Star Line like the Titanic. There are hardly any similaritys in the 2.
