Grew up in eastern North Carolina, so I know a bit about tobacco. You need to "top" (i.e break off the flower at the top of the plant) - it looks like you never topped & suckered those plants.

It's funny seeing you use equipment in Switzerland that I grew up using! Keep it up with the tobacco cultivation. Remember, top & sucker those plants!
