whoa whoa whoa, whoa...... Are you telling me, that in Ninja Gaiden II you dont get any health refils on the last three bosses? that's bull! In the first game you did wtf? these games just gat harder and harder (what's worse is that our version of ninja gaiden III makes it HARDER why!?!?!)

This one took me a while to beat. Ah the days of pausing the game and hoping a) the power didn't go out for ANY reason and b) hoping the cartridge didn't glitch. :)

Last thing: Nice trick on the last Jaquio form, BUT, even with the Fire Wheel saving time on 2, you blew more time on the 3rd form than if you wiped it out completely with the Windmill Ninja Star, which only takes one hit if you jump it right.

OK, I sound like an overcritical SDA verifier, the run isn't bad. But it can be improved a bit. I hope you keep working on it and get it better. 15:00 is easily possible, but this isn't terrible. A lot of people wish they could beat NG 2 in 20!

I played this game up unto the part where you fight the demon Jaquio. I couldn't get passed his flying hands and the balls he shoots out. Never even got to the part where you hit his heart.

yeah, i know what u mean. i still remember the ninja gaiden series as one of the hardest on the good old nes. but at the same time it was balanced. hard, but not impossible. they don't achieve that anymore.

I used to think that the one skull after Jaquio was the final boss, and that's as far as I could ever get inthis game. Now I see there was actually one more boss, which makes me think...did they really expect you to beat level 7, defeat Jaquio and defeat two more bosses in one run?

Great speed run! That last level used to take so many lives for me and finally when I made it to the various demon forms I was shouting die already with no life left!!! Nice job!

btw... Are there new games out there that capture the frighteningly dark but cool feel of older games like this one, Demon's Crest or Super Ghosts'n Goblins?

Maximo is one semi-modern game, I believe it was released on PS2, plus there's the Silent Hill series.

Thanx for the video. I love this game. I remember the feel of being playing a movie more than a game. At that time, those were the best graphics, and story. Actually i am a huge fan of the xbox version, i can't wait to play the second game.

You're welcome, k5rock! Yeah the cinematic elements of this game really set it apart from other adventure games.

I plan on eventually recording a speed run of some kind for the original game, as well as for part III. However, seeing as how there are already a few speed runs for those games, I will have to come up with a more innovative challenge, perhaps while only using the sword.

Yes this a cool game, GodOfFists! I also remember finishing it for my first time, but I used so many continues lol. It actually took me longer to finish this game than the original surprisingly enough.

Out of all three games, part II gave me the most problems and was the last of the three NES games that I managed to finish without dying.
