Had a Fireface 400 but it was incompatible with our iMac's firewire chipset, and decided to sell it. Was planning on getting Logic.
I have now jumped back to PC platform since Windows 7, and looking for an audio interface to use with Sonar.
This Firestudio Tube is at the top of my shortlist, is even cheaper than the RME and has loads more analog inputs. Really only need 6 analog inputs right now, however you never know when you need to do a recording session that would need more inputs.
@SeanStephensen I have the normal fire studio, and I dont know much about the tube, but with just about every amp that has tubes is always going to have a warmer sound then a normal one would
Cool, but too many inputs for my use. What I want is a less expensive, scaled-down version of the Tube with about 1/2 or even 1/3 the amount of inputs, with two of them still tube-based. That would be about all I'd need. I have a studio desk that can accept rackmount devices, and that is the form factor I want, but there's a huge gap between Presonus's mobile and rack devices in both price and number of inputs.
wow cant wait for this baby to to go sale.i just wish presonus would make their drivers more stable.ive read its site's forums and people are having some driver instability issues.
... is the software included for both Mac and PC?

Been doing quite a bit of "youtube research" and this unit is definitively on my short list! Can it be used with Logic Pro? Saludos!
