DR has a bunch of Power Hitter half of them cant even play defense any more. Papi, Manny, Vladdy and Tejeda are all declining shadows of their former selves.

Papi, Vladdy, Beltre, Tejeda will all be on the DR roster for the Wbc...Not one of them would even make Americas roster. Arod is American, but you can have him bc he is a jinx and sucks in the clutch. America has guys who can run, hit, and play defense not to mention the best pitching by far out of any country. DR has a bunch of Power Hitter half of them cant even play defense any more. Papi, Manny, Vladdy and Tejeda are all declining shadows of their former selves.

Gomez, Sosa, Guillen, Alou, Reyes, Pena, Polanco, Beltre,Tavarez, Melky Cabrera, cano would not even make USA's team Arod is American regardless of who he plays for and Pena could also be considered american from growing up in MAssachustetts, Manny grew up in NYC..These guys developed their baseball skills in the statesand lived here for most of their lives. Papi, Guerrero, and Tejada are all decliningand would not make team USA either.

Not to mention USa'S PITCHING IS FAR AND AWAY TWICE as good as any other country's and 10 times better than DR's. There are many guys on DR's roster that are Minor Leaguers lol. there is no comparison b/w the two countires. Our Lineup has much more depth, contact hitters .and power hitters, whereas Dr is all aging Power hitters on the decline. Ungodly Pitching and bullpen Imagine a pen of papelbon, nathan, Joba, Lidge..just to name a few.. Why would you root for DR if you are from America?

I can answer that for you. Who said that one should cheer for the team from which their from? my favorite team are the dodgers and i'm from boston. I can see many Americans rooting for the Dominican team as well. due to the DR team having most of the top sluggers in baseball. Baseball never discriminates. its there two bring everyone together and have fun. By the way, I'm an American of dominican descent and i would be proud if USA or DR win the WBC.

no dumbass. the rosters have been announced already. manny ramirez is not on the team.and i forgot about vladi, hes awesome. but tejada isnt going to play with reyes at short. palonco and cano play the same position and aramis, and beltre wont play with arod at third.pena wont play either with pujols at first. so out of the guys u named only vladi and cano are gonna get any playing time.

dumbass their is another 15 players gotta be announce on feb 20 the total on a world baseball classic team has 2 be 45 players...they said on mlb that manny ramirez is gonna be offer a chance on the dr team...and by the way this a 3 week tournament there gonna give other players chances 2 play even if its half of the game

clearly your a little confused. the classsic team is at 45 and will be cut down to 28 on february 20th.and manny will not play, he barely ever plays in mlb. dont think hes gonna go out of his way to play for free. and yes of course back up players will play, but not vey mutch. theres a maximum of 8 games a team can play. how often do bench players play in 8 games?maybe 9 innings
