How old are that monastery and the fortress ? I'd like to come and see them. 5*

It depends of monastery they are around 500 years old, some are older. There is no simple fortress but some of them have defense walls because they were build during ottomans invasions. They were used in time of danger to protect the population and the inhabitants of the monasteries and off course the monastery itself. Some of our monasteries played also a military role in the past.

Imagine yourself these paintings are contemporarary with the Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper.The Leonardo's masterpiece which is inside is almost destroied(with pale colours) but the paintings of our monasteries are outside(with very cold or hot weather) and the colours are bright. But you know: Publicity is the soul of the commerce !
