  • BIMBO IS THE CUTEST THING EVER

  • Max and Dave Fleischer's Betty Boop cartoons have the best music ever used in cartoons.

  • @geraldmarkowitz Listen to my video "Call Of The Freaks" it is the song used it this cartoon.

  • I mean, the bra thing. Is that really necessary?

  • 5:16 I think that's the first time I've seen Betty and Bimbo actually kiss XD

  • 75 dearie! ,D

  • 3::30-3:34 Betty Boop cartoons were definitely not for kids. Hehe

  • Oh my God I love Betty Boop cartoons. Especially the older 1st half of the cartoons span. Pure great animation and of course the best music.

  • Luis Russell originally recorded the tune as Call Of The Freaks for Okeh January 15, 1929. Under the name Luis Russell And His Burning Eight. Personnel included Louis Metcalfe on trumpet and William "Bass" Moore on tuba. With a different personnel including Henry "Red" Allen on trumpet and Pops Foster on string bass, he recorded it again as The New Call Of The Freaks on September 6, 1929 as Luis Russell And His Orchestra.

  • That's interesting info. Thanks. It's actually the New Call of the Freaks.

  • the first cartoon where betty was realized as a human instead of a anthropomorphic French poodle :3 her floppy poddle ears became hoop earings and her nose because a button nose lol

  • But of course Betty threw herself out a window in a trash bag...

Oh, 30's crtoons. They make so little sense, yet are so entertaining.

  • "Any Questions? Any Answers?" I didn't know where Groucho's joke was from until I saw this! Makes sense, the Marx Brothers were at Paramount at the time. Neat little film here though!

  • 1:10 Mickey and Minnie?!?!

  • @bluethunder25 xp And Mickey has no pants on?!! O.O (I'm sorry; I have a sick mind.)

  • Fabulous music by Louis Russel. But where's his name on the credits? Russel was a genius who ended his life as a chauffeur

  • @Gangstagran Yep, immaculate music makes this one of my favorite Boop cartoons

  • @Gangstagran , The Call Of The Freaks which is performed throughout the cartoon was NOT recorded on this soundtrack by Luis Russell's band. In 1935, his band eventually became Louis Armstrong's (he stayed on as pianist and musical director), in 1948, he retired from full time performing and taught music, while running a store. In 1959, he visited Panama (where he was born) and gave a piano recital. he died in NYC in 1963.
