The only thing I disliked about the anime is that in the play it is the Capulet's who come of as/really are the ill-tempered family. Where Lady Capulet and Lord Capulet are ready to disown Juliet for not marring Pairs, Lady Montuge dies from her son being banished

. I just wished that stuck to that more.

@TheLateNightGamer Cause they used the original lyrics where this song came from, where as the Japanese used different lyrics for reasons I don't know. You Raise Me Up is a popular song in the west so I guess they didn't want to change the song in the translation

They knew instantly it was there destined one though as irony would have it they were Montague and Capulet, opposing sides. But no matter what, they loved each other purely. It's a beautiful love that can only happen in stories, how they'd give up there lives for each other. Shakespeare, why art thou so cruel?Notalllovewillbehappyend

It's not stupid. It is just that they loved each other so much that they can't live without one another. They both felt the same. It's love.

When I had heard of this show, I thought it was going to be really lame. But I was pleasantly surprised to get an incredible re-imagining of the original play. It has all of the same themes as the original; Blood, Honor, Forbidden love, and most of all Tragedy. Which is what R&J is. It has a fantasy setting, unlike the play. But if you look beyond the liberties you'll find an emotionally soaring re telling of a tale of star-crossed love.

If she had simply run away, her family would most likely have eventually tracked her down and brought her back home. By faking her own death, she could ensure that her family would leave her be, and she would be free to run away with Romeo without arousing suspicion. Too bad fate wouldn't allow that...

But I see what you mean. Whatever; I probably like the anime better too! XD

I'm just sad that with all the artistic liberties taken to recreate the story of Romeo and Juliet, they still kept the tragedy element in the end. But in a way, I guess that's also what makes it so beautiful.
