Styles change for everyone. Ten years from now the new is old and the old is new again. I can't wait for brand names to be out again. Better but still a long way to go. Ditch the permed frizzy hair, get some layers put in and try a side part. Next, trade the skits for some khaki wide leg slacks. They don't need to be tight fitting and would actually be more modest than skirts because their entire legs would be covered. Just M.O.

But their oldest girls do all the work like changing diapers, cooking, etc, etc, etc.... This family is very commited to thier religion and I give them a lot of credit for that. They have been raised to be a very close knit family and they are all very talented. They all have different dreams and there is nothing against them going to college, Josh chose not too. The father made very sound business decisions that paid off and while TLC money must come in handy they could get by without it.

No, I don't know the Duggers but have seen many interviews with them. It is thier choice if they go to college, I know one of the girls want to be a nurse and another one a midwife, you have to have some kind of schooling to do that. They are all pretty young so maybe thier not ready to leave the family yet, they all have plenty of time.

These people live pretty frugally in spite of the money they are making from TLC so it's very possible money is being put away for them. Josh opened up a used car business and I doubt that he did that with a small weekly allowance, he also found a house for him and Anna to live in so they must be getting money. There are also grants and student loans avaliable so it's a personal choice (college)

Jim Bob opened Josh's car lot and signed the lease over to Josh. I saw that online somewhere. Josh's house was Duggar owned and rented out so Josh and Anna got that from the family. I don't even know if they pay rent on it. Jim Bob that kid had a lot of help from his parents except for any kind of college money.

The parents believe the kids should work for awhile save up money and then go to college but by then most will probably have families to support. I don't think they are big fans of college cause it's too "worldly" and might be a bad influence. I personnally loved college and would love to go back for my masters.

I agree college education is very important, and I have always wondered myself why they aren't that into it in this family.

However, with the marital values these children have instilled in them, why not marry young? They will probably have more successful and happy marriages than most thirty-year olds I know. And without TLC they probably wouldn't have built their home, but they would have lived in another three or four bedroom home debt-free... more than most families can successfully do.

It seems to me that the camera's are less involved day-to-day with the Duggar's. Just the impression I get, but the camera's seem to be more around for "special events" rather than everyday stuff most weeks. To me, that does make it less like exploitation, but then again we will probably have a better idea when the kids are older!
