  • Wow, you idiots just don't get it do you? You can't stop change and you cannot stop President Obama from making

the United States a better country for all its citizens. What are you going to do when this goes through and it becomes law? Are you going to revolt? How laughable. You are going to form small groups and take on the world's greatest army? I for one cannot wait to see this. It will be over in a day. Epic Television. Thanks for providing me with a good laugh and some entertainment.

  • The US has over 300 million people and there are tens of millions of really intelligent people. The loony "government takeover" conspiracy theorists and Fox News watching Rush Limbaugh loving lunatiics aren't among them.

  • megarational,

This 2000 page health care bill is a mammoth failure in that it does not even begin to cover the issues. Republicans aren't alone in dislike for this dismal grab at power by President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, et al.

  • Look, if anyone just wanted the Republican talking points regurgitated they would watch Fox News.

  • megarational,

If you had a single postive point to present from this bill, you would post it. You ought to read what your politicians are planning for you - not them, you understand; they're under a different system as federal employees.

  • Page 122. sect. 233(a) 3. to make insurance plans more easily understood using standard plain language.

Sect. 144, an ombudsman to finally assist those who have been screwed by their insur. co.

sect. 152, preventing unfair discrimination in providing health care coverage.sect. 153. whistle blower protection

sect 162. Ending health insurance rescission abuse.

  • megarational,

Using 2000 pages - the equivalent of 7 or 8+ full days of court proceedings, to "make insurance plans easily understood"? Unbelievable.

An ombudsman is an admininstrative position to be paid a federal wage and benefits.

We have unfair discrimination laws on the books already. Same with whistle blower. Recission abuse? Cancellation isn't a problem if the governmental agency just refuses to provide the care.

  • No dipshit. Only one sect. addresses the simple language for insurance policy issue. You trying to characterize is as being the whole bill perfectly illustrates how you intentionally misrepresent everything.

As for the Ombudsman, would you rather have the insurance companies control that position?

Cancellation is a HUGE problem right now. Another case of people like you ignoring any facts that don't suit your propaganda agenda.

Enjoy your skyrocketing HC premiums & deductibles fool.

  • megarational,

The bill includes expensive amendments tangentiially related to health: walking paths, farmers markets, extensive agency and oversight creation. The federal government has no credibility successful business operation.

I do prefer premiums paid by me to government control removing all personal rights. Should this bill pass, the govt would control about 42% of our economy -automakers, banks, credit instituions and health care. Not good. (cont'd)

  • I already heard all that. If I want to know what the gullible are going to be putting on their comments on any particular day, all i have to do is catch a bit of Fox News, or watch some Republican senatior spout some B.S. .That same day utube comments will be full of almost the exact same words.

  • (-cont'd)

Bailout oversight discusses today on NPR the loopholes created 8 months are like the roulette wheel for credit industry. Let's rush 2000 pages of loopholes? When discussion resorts to the lameness of namecalling it's time to wish you luck in your life.

  • Any loopholes, blame the attempt at "bipartisanship".

Amendments can be made b4 and after passage. But if this bill is not passed you can pretty well kiss good-by any chance of HC reform for a long long time. Not good news for the millions of uninsured fellow Americans, or the millions regularly screwed by insurance companies.

  • megarational,

I think you're mistaken about the death of health insurance reform. Nearly every American agrees there is a need for insurance for some; the distinction requires one to accept that some of us do not expect a handout and will not turn our personal decisionmaking power over to any governmental entity. Uninsured Americans in need could easily be covered under Medicare expansion with fraud/waste eradication. The greatest country on earth can cover 12 -30 million persons.

  • The list goes on. It provides coverage to another 36 million Americans, introduces real competition & breaks the private HC insurance monopoly, closes the doughnut hole for seniors and ensures insurance covers preventative care that reduces long term medical costs.

  • As to the continuing list, talking about this 2000 page bill - the Congressional Budget Office said the public plan would cost more than private plans and only six million people would sign up.

The original intent was to insure 36 million - which is the major downfall to this plan that is only a grab for power.

  • I have several friends who went, some by bus, some drove ... but they are taking a stand.

  • Not the only alternative:

  • The rally was awesome!!! I love America!!!
