  • Control F12 will stop and start recording. Hope that helps.

  • is there any way to set a hotkey for start and stop?

  • do you have ... serial

  • are you a boy?

  • So if you recorded that video from friends with replay video how did you recorded yourself recording friends? You can record multiple windows at the same time?

  • @akwlb2 Hi there akwlb2, Please send your question over to the support staff on the support page of our website. They should be able to answer your question. Thank you!

  • So you have to download it?

  • @GirLovesCupcakes8D You have to download the product, Replay Video Capture ($39.95), then you can turn anything you see on your PC's screen into a high quality video file you can play anywhere!

  • can replay video capture record multiple sites at the same time like replay media capture? or do i have to wait till the movie is completely done first before proceeding to another site? is there a way to make RPV like RMC?

  • @dekalbirving RVC uses a different recording process from RMC. With RVC, you record one screen, or portion of a screen, at a time.

  • Is there a way to save the files as gifs? I would really love to find a program that can save short video clips as animated gifs.

  • @GalaxyofStarrs Not with this particular product, sorry!

  • the best hd recorder is Snagit 10v but its not free.. you can record with SOUNDS WITH YOUR MIC!!!

if you want snagit 10 free check this video and thumbs up if it works!

  • Is it good for recording online games???

  • @JAKEALOCO We say, if you can watch it, you can record it!

  • Quick Question, i do tutorials, i just want to know, i have a Toshiba laptop, 2GB ram, on XP. will relay do the zoom thing? please reply

  • @liljuan016 Replay Video Capture records exactly what it can see on your screen, so you would have to manually zoom (say, in your browser).

  • Girl? or BOY?

  • is this a boy or a girl?

  • Will this work if your just trying to capture yourself browsing a website? And where does it save to on your computer?

  • @gilpinentertainment For a comprehensive overview, please visit applian[dot]com/replay-video-capture/support/user_guide Please let us know if you still have questions!

  • um what about recording games? i tried to record Left 4 Dead 2 but only the desktop showed! :/

  • @smallworld188 -that it is because you had your left4dead 2 video setting to full screen. In order to capture your gameplay, you must configure your video setting in your Left4dead 2 setting instead. Set your Aspect Ratio to 16:9, resolution at your highest (depending on your graphic), then set your display mode to: Windowed (no border). Then ur set to you using WM Capture. The only downfall to using the WM capture, it will display your mouse cursor on ur playback video.

  • @sulin922 oh I see...thanks

  • I want to record a video from my DVD on Windows Media Player...

but when I record it... just black picture...

What sould I do, Applian Technologies?

  • @Tifisazasei Please see if it works using a different media player. Also, watch your hardware acceleration.

  • finally

  • @Mosaab50 Did you just discover us? How do you like Replay Video Capture so far?

  • @ApplianTechnologies

ITs not bad...but now i gave MS speaker that r more clear...ITS STILL A PRETTY GOOD PROGRAM

  • wow this guys got high balls

  • @richishard .........

    are you serious?

  • how you zoom in and out at specific areas?

  • hey there ... will you tell me how did you get green square and zoomed region

into that green square pls :) i didn't profected and i didn't found that on google or youtube etc. ! thanks anyway :D ^^

  • someone else has prolly mentioned this but the little blinky boxes in the application panel are dragged and dropped onto the screen to define the recording rectangle. It can also auto-detect standard video boundaries .. but the drag and drop feature is really powerful - get used to it .. it's a little quirky .. but well worth the learning curve. Thank me later.

  • is this working on lan games like dota and gta??

  • @totzkie1103 yes but it lags sigh :(

  • My question for you is, is there anyway to record with the video in the background while i surf the web?

  • tutorial starts at 3:00!

  • hey when i record it lags? can you plz help

  • @FunAndJokes Please check your settings. Lagging is a sign of your PC not having enough power - if you adjust the settings you should be fine. If you are not sure how to do that then please click on the support tab on the Applian website. The tech support folks can help.

  • @ApplianTechnologies yea my netbook has 1.67 GHz and 1gb ram i think i cant fix it

  • @FunAndJokes That's great!

  • Ok, where my video is saved? I couldn't find anything in settings.

  • @saqib09 FOUND IT. NO problemo :)

  • @saqib09 Yay!

  • @saqib09 Yay!

  • @comontrade Well that's good.

    :)

  • how do i save it?

  • @ruben71988 How do you save your recording? It is saved for you after once you stop recording.

  • not quite what u meen by set the window you want to record off to a SIDE - make it small

  • how can you record but open another window without it recording the one you just opened

  • @pinna4671 Here is what you do - set the window you want to record off to a side - make it small - then you leave yourself work space on your desktop to open other windows etc. When you record a small tight space your recorded file will be better quality - so that's a good thing to do anyway. Make sense?

  • I need to know how to create screencaps from videos without paint. I use to do it this way with no problem at all. Now since i don't have my "Paint" program to paste and edit screencaps anymore. How can i create them without the "Paint"? Somebody, anybody, please help. A tutorial will be great. :)

  • Could you make a video of a video of how you did it. becuase this is a pretty good sample video. in the trial version when your finished recording does it have the company logo all over it or just the 2 minute video is the only down side?

  • @minnieclips The trial doesn't have a watermark - it's just limited to 2 minutes per session. And you want to see a video of what exactly? I am happy to help.

  • @minnieclips a full video of its features would be great to see.

  • @minnieclips Okay i will give that a shot - thanks.

  • This was really all done in one program?

  • @minnieclips yep

  • Just what im after cheers!

  • @TheTrickyTrickster So glad! Enjoy!

  • can this thing slows down my gameplay if i record?

  • @sesestro Are you looking for a way to record and play back in slow motion or are you worried that the program will slow down your game play? Regarding slowing down your game play Replay Video Capture does use a lot of CPU so it could depending on what kind of processor you have.

  • @ApplianTechnologies intel i7 but only 1 gb ram i will do an upgrade after 10 days but before that will Replay Video Capture could slow down may gameplay?

  • @sesestro You know the best thing would be to try it and see. It's really too hard to know based on the little info you have given me. But the short answer is that it could...

  • @ApplianTechnologies maybe i should try it first.

  • @sesestro Hysterical - good idea!

  • I certainly hope you didnt use it to record this video

  • i have wm capture. and i can record somewhat good quality, but the sound will be off or it will be glitchy. is there a way i can change this?

  • At first i used Gamescam, but its more than useless to try that programm. Then i switches to Replay Video Capture and it works. But i got one problem. When i record my screen of a game im playing at the same moment im recording it, then i always have the mouse sign in the middle of the screen. And i can't move it and i can't make it disappear and if there is no function to hide its very sad because i have tried so many programs and applain technologies had almost convinced me. So please help!

  • @LoeckchenTVblog Let me see if support has an idea for you...stay tuned.

  • @LoeckchenTVblog This is what I heard back from the developer:

In Replay Video Settings check the box "Hide Replay Video when recording".

Start your video, move the mouse out of the screen area and press the "F12"

key while holding the "Ctrl" key. This starts recording. Do the same to stop recording. I hope that helps.

  • How do you zoom into an specific area?

  • @Avoiderrors I use Camtasia. :)

  • lisstion to have a longer video record a new video and put them together with windows movie maker

  • @TreGrangerTV Not sure I understand your question - can you clarify the first word?

  • This is the best screen capture software that I've ever tried. MPEG-2 recording in high quality is superb. And the sound is perfect too! I'll buy this software when I can afford it :-)

Greetings from Denmark (the small country between Sweden and Germany ;-) )

  • @TViDanmark Thanks for your fabulous and hysterical message - Greetings back at your from California - the gorgeous state on the left coast of the United States - (the loud country that thinks its the center of the universe)

  • hmmmmmm ill try it out :P

  • And?

  • Not Bad Thanks for the help ^_^

  • You're welcome.

  • have you managed to fix the problem that bugs the windows media center? because since i installed this the WMC doesn't work.

    any help would be appreciated.

  • Here is what the developer wrote to me: Media Center TV crashes any programs that use DirectShow encoders. This is a well known problem that generates thousands of Google search hits. Search words - media center crash ehrecv . This problem is on XP's with Media Center and TV Cards only.

  • I have more info from the developer: plus See comment below plus this: this thing happens only on this configuration:

XP + Media Center + TV Card. It is Media Center + TV that does not allow any program that uses MPEG-2 to operate. Media Center uses MPEG-2 to record TV programs and is trying to disable any other programs that use MPEG-2. I will make a WM Capture version that only has Windows Media.

  • @ApplianTechnologies

    i have Vista+Media Center+TV Card

That's odd because i have 2 other programs installed (arcsoft showbiz DVD and Roxio creator) and both use MPEG-2 to capture from tv card and media center never crashed before... Do you have any tweaks to stop the media center crashing?

  • Thanks for the added info. I will pass this along to the developer and see what he says. Stay tuned.

  • Hey - I just heard from the developer again. He'd like to email you directly. He's working on a new fix to the program - but he believes your set-up and issues are unique and would like to troubleshoot them directly. Can you send me your email address so I can get him in touch with you?

  • @ApplianTechnologies

ok i've sent it to you

thanks a lot for your help :)

  • Hi, with mpeg-2 seems like the screen is shaking a little, thats why i set it to use windows media 9, but the problem is that when it plays it is so dim, is there any way to make the video lighter? thanks

  • This is an interesting question - I am going to see what tech support says. Stay tuned.

  • So tech support has never seen this issue either - is hoping you can open a support ticket so they can help you. And figure out what is going on - just go to the Applian Website and click on support/product technical support/replay video capture. Thanks.

  • So the developer sent me this message:

Use MPEG-2 and record your desktop for 20 seconds. In Settings check the box "Full Screen". You'll see a little shaking. Then change to Windows Media and see the difference. I cannot explain the dim image however. The recording should be the same as the original.

MPEG-2 should be used for high motion video (movies) and WMP for static images.

  • im ok with that

    thanks :D

  • You're welcome. :)

  • WMV so i can upload it to youtube im trying to get some gameplay videos o

  • WM Recorder will record WMV but in demo mode you can only record 5 minutes.

  • do you know a video recording that allows me to record 5+ minutes of video?

  • What sort of format are you trying to record?

  • How do you zoom in and out? Is that from post video editing or can you do that in real time?

  • I use an editor that allows me to do that.

  • I used the trial version and it works like a charm. Bought it.

Your videos are very helpful. Thank you.

  • Thanks.

  • Very nice tutorial.. You inspired me to purchase this product.. Anyway, I have I bit of problem. Everytime I try to press get window to highlight the whole video, it just ended up highlighting the whole computer screen. I don't want to see extras, I just want to record the video. Also, how come when I record videos, it would play sounds from outside of the computer? Anyway to fix this?

  • Sure both things are fixable. For your window settings -if the outline is bigger than you want just move the little blinking boxes on the upper lift & lower right - to adjust the size you need. As for the audio - it sounds like you have you may be using your laptop mic for the audio rather than stereo mix. To get that set up correctly you can contact tech support they can help with your specific configuration. Just go to the Applian Website and click on support.

  • Wow. You really do know what to say.. Thanks, I got it. I just need to locate stereo Mix, and check it.. That was easy. It took me 4 hours last night to find out the problem. Thanks.

  • I am glad that you got it fixed - and sorry it too you so long last night to find the problem. :(

  • ma in italiano???????

  • Sono spiacente. Ma No.

  • Does it work with video games?

  • Hi - It depends on the game you're playing and the power of your processor. If you're using a dual core, it should be fine. Why not download the demo and see if it will work - but remember the demo will only allow you to record 2 minutes each session. And you may need to fine tune the settings to get it just right. Okay?

  • oh.

  • Thanks :)

  • great program so far!

  • great - thanks

  • does it work with windows media player?

  • yes :)

  • plz tell me what you r using to make this video.

    thanx in advance =]]]

  • I used Camtasia.

    :)

  • I'm having trouble with the playback audio, im using a headset with an HD usb converter , when i check the sound in the program it plays clear and fine but when i record it records my mic instead of the vid.. ive tried shutting off my mic and changing the audio setting you said . do you think its my HD headset that confusing the program?

  • Sorry you are having trouble. Best thing to do is contact tech support for WM Capture - they can help I am sure. Your issues may be OS related, other program related or MIC related - not sure - they can help troubleshoot that. Just go to the site and click on support.

  • this is really good!!!!

  • I had the same issue as you, and their support helped me - it's too long to put in here though, send me a private message and i'll help you out - or you can also submit a ticket to their tech support group :)

  • i press record it records fine but wen i play it back its very laggy :/ i never used to egt this problem cound u help plz ive tired lowering the quality and that kina works but i want HQ video :D

  • If you go to the troubleshooting section on the Applian site for Replay Video Capture you will see how to optimize your settings to improve playback. This is a powerful program and requires a lot of computing power to work well. If you have a slower, older machine you may encounter issues.

  • When I play it in Windows Media Player it looks awesome, but when I am editing it in SonyVegas Pro 7 the quality gets reeeealy low? Why is it like this?

  • im guessing your talking about before u render...above the preview box it has ether, Draft, Preview, Good, and best, click on them and change it to the one at the bottom(best>full) but this is only if you have a good computer. having it on best or draft does not change the quality of he renderd video. hope this helps or if its even what you mean :\

  • Thanks for the help!

But I know what's the problem is now :)

Let's say the movie is 500x700 big, and the thing is, I am rendering it in a much much bigger size, and that lowers the quality :p

  • Media Center u have 4 ur computer, lol every girl has media center

  • Thanks for the vid. it really helps

  • Nice Man Nice And Other LAZY pepiol Who DOnt Comment .... you

  • Thanks for the feeback - I will pass it along to the developer - and we do appreciate your honest feedback. :)

  • I don't care if you remove this post; just some feedback. I love this software, but there is one thing I really dislike about it; namely the flashing blue and red squares!! I hate anything flashing on my computer screen (I suppose I'm just a little sensitive to it - in the same way I hate flashing ads)! Apart from that, I think this product really delivers and is extremely easy to use. Cheers.

  • minimize the program and restore it when the video is about to end to press stop...

  • Thanks very much

I hope this is better than Hypercam and Camstudio.

  • You're welcome :)

  • god no one bothered to comment well i am thank you for your help
