The only problem im having with particle illusion at the moment is the brightness. sometimes its too bright i cant see .. like the fire.. its almost just bright orange and white. even if the colors are preserved..

i tried it on a lagarith coded avi and removed that on vegas. i cant seem to get it right.

@Jgtg1 This will not replace Sony Vegas or any video editing program. As the name suggest this program is simply for particles. In other words a special effect program that deals in particles (you can think of them as little dots that combine can make MANY effect (clouds, explosion, water, etc, etc).

This is NOT for video editing, progams like sony vegas are Adobe Premiere (advance video editing), Windows Movie Maker (easy and limited), AVID, etc, etc.

Can you save the effect in another format file .. So that you can use it in sony vegas?

@vPrincessAh You would need to make the background transparaent (using a matte) to use it. If you mean export the effect and modify it somewhat in sony Vegas that is a no. Only thing you can do is export the result as a video and use the output video in sony vegas, to eliminate the 'black' background you'll probably see use a matte.

With Sony vegas you render it in a way that it'll be HDon youtube. But if you do it through Particle illusion, it won't be HD for youtube anymore?

@RakuenNoTobira002 They are VERY different. Particle Illusion is just for particles just as the same suggest. Adobe After Effect is way more advance, you can blue-screen things, 3d city (or stages), sound control and way more things (color correction). It can also do particle system (using built in particle system or third-party call particular). Don't let people fool you into thinking Particle Illusion and After effect are similar...they are nothing alike.

@RakuenNoTobira002 Well...After Effect is out of most people's budget if they are just starting out (it cost 1,000 dollars). So I would probably test the simply version of PI that is 99 dollars if you want to start up. Now if you have the budget then I would suggest Adobe After Effect without a second though in all honesty. Just warning that it has a step learning curve.

cool program. You need a program wich can use Chroma keyer effect, like Vegas Pro 8 or 9 to make the background of the effect invisible, and thus make only the effect be visible.(search Green screen effect vegas pro 8(its same with 9 and 8) in youtube)
