uh oh...at 1:16 in the video you can see that george was lip syncing the chorus{at least}I think the guy on the computer delayed it by mistake and it threw george's rhythm all off...nice assertive recovery by george though.being live,that could have turned out to be one hell of a disaster.anyways,a wonderful song.you gotta love george!...

I remember watching this when it was first broadcast. I was such a Whamster! Ahhh I was 13 and so in love with Andrew Ridgeley. Ironically he now lives in the same village as my parents, I always look out for him when I visit..... I owe it to my teenage self!

"Blue" was the B-Side of "Club Tropicana", but that version didn't have much lyrics except the line "armed with love I could save my heart..".

Then later the live version with the complete lyrics was released on the "Music From THe Edge Of Heaven" LP/Cassette (not featured on the CD version).

Now in this video, George sings the full lyrics to that first released B-Side version.

Yes i know about the live version, but we were really talking about a studio version with the verse lyrics on. There doesn't seem to be one available. If there was, i would have added it to the Russell Harty video to make the audio a bit more acceptable as it's pretty dire at the moment. The original VHS tape had very low recording levels, lower than any other i've had. BBC studio technicians who don't know their a**e from their elbow i guess.

Very rare video. 'Blue' sounds like a B-side of 'Nothing Looks the Same in the Light'. I wouldn't be surprised if it indeed is a B-side of the aforementioned song.

AJITTFFCURE: "...Same in the Light" was never released as a single, therefore could have no B-side. "Blue" (as a mostly instrumental track) was the B-side of "Club Tropicana" in 1983. It's the same version as this video, but without George singing the verses (only the choruses and the "armed with love..." section at the end).

It is cos i've played them side by side and wrote down the words to every line of vocal and where it starts etc. Sing this version along with the final version and the end bit of the final (where he starts singing the end chorus) starts exactly at the same time. This is the same backing track, but they've just muted the verse vocals out of the final mix. Also this version is faded out very early. But it's the same backing track. Wow i've just managed to make myself sound like a geek!!!

And it's not the same version on The Final I know for sure "trust me".
